βRADIO BLAH BLAHβ
A rural community radio station in peril.
A David and Goliath story of Biblical Proportions.
DJ Doris with her Leaky Teapot and her Daily Doughnut.
Itβs all going on in the tiny village of Innisblagh!
βRadio Blah Blahβ is a comedy-drama in two acts, suitable for audiences aged 14+
Set in a rural community radio station, βRadio Blah Blahβ follows the story of DJ Doris, the stationβs founder and longest-serving presenter β 50 yearsβ service to be precise. Over the years, one by one, the other DJs have shuffled off this mortal coil, leaving Doris to DJ alone.
βRadio Blah Blahβ is a story of the little guys versus the big guys as the evil Tesda Corporation plans to knock down the stationβs rickety but beloved old home and build a brand new, state-of-the-art superstore.
But the station is the heart and soul of the community, the village grapevine. The prospect of losing this precious and vital amenity is unthinkable - and the villagers are REVOLTING!
βRadio Blah Blahβ follows hot-on-the-heels of Jaq-in-the-Boxβs hugely successful production of βThe Benchβ which played to enthusiastic audiences across the North of Ireland, ending with four sell-out shows at the Grand Opera House Studio.
