This is what being a community pub is all about, three of our Petanque players giving up their Sunday mornings to do some fettling of our Petanque Piste.

We don’t charge for usage and we have one of only four covered Petanque Pistes in Britain. It may not be the warmest place to play on a rainy winters evening but it’s dry and that’s what matters!

What started off as a lockdown whim has ended up being a hugely important community resource, for not just our 5 teams, and the Pétanque England Internationals that have and continue to play and train here, but equally importantly for the next generation of youngsters cutting their teeth in the sport.
