WE MAY BE CURRENTLY CLOSED BUT WE WANT TO STILL FIGHT FOR OUR INDUSTRY!

HOW MUCH MORE DO THEY WANT OUT OF HOSPITALITY? 🇬🇧

Another Budget. Another Kick in the backside for Hospitality!

Let’s look at the damage…

🍺 B**R DUTY UP 3.9% – because clearly we’re not paying enough for a pint already!

💷 MINIMUM WAGE UP 3.9% – staff deserve decent money, absolutely! But who’s helping us pay for it? Already pubs, restaurants closing all over the country.

COST OF LIVING- suppliers put their prices up, we have to do the same or we crumble even more.

❌ VAT STILL 20% – not a penny of help. Cheers for that! There was us thinking the government care… not the 10% we was promised!!

🏠 BUSINESS RATES RELIEF – a few pennies savings thrown our way while the rest of the costs go through the roof! Thanks!!

Here’s what the government doesn’t seem to understand…

We can’t keep putting prices up. You can’t keep paying more. And we certainly can’t keep pulling money out of thin air!

WE ARE NOT MONEY-PRINTING MACHINES, WE WANT FAMILIES TO ENJOY VISITING US NOT DREADING IT!

THE HENGIST WILL ALWAYS THINK OF ITS CUSTOMERS AND HELP WHERE IT CAN HELP!

We’re not asking for a handout. JUST STOP MAKING IT SO HARD TO KEEP THE DOORS OPEN!

Yesterday we had the privilege of helping Amber music at their Legends Of Vinyl event at G Live theatre.

Amber has become a friend through our lovely Mollie Laine she holds some amazing events. Go give her a follow.

Yesterday we got to see and meet George McCrae

Presenter Natalie deserves a huge shout out we have had the pleasure privilege of meeting her twice now and she will be a future long term friend. She is a great presenter and one day will host her own radio station. Give her a little follow she promotes a lot of good events. Was great hanging out with you yesterday.

We had a great time selling merchandise, looking after the acts and getting full backstage access.
