FINALLY now every thing has calmed down a bit. I would like to say a great big thank you to everyone for everything and anyone that knows me. That's my short radio thankyou. Lol
It been a challanging month. Within a week of announcing our closure my beautiful mum passed away after haveing advance lung cancer for the past 18 months. So the plan of doing a count down to the last day went out of the window. We did however manage two absolutely amazing nights. The last ever jam night Hosted by my eldest son Aaron who has kept it going through good and bad times. With the help over the years of my youngest Kristian Tate and all the host and musicians and audience that have come and gone. Every one did us proud.
The last night was an unbelievable tribute to live original music. With the help of our very good friend Eldridge of Towers of London Screamin' Irene and the other brilliant talented bands that supported that night. Soundmen music lovers, door men that every night keep us safe over the years thankyou. Bar managers bar staff over the last 10 years thankyou. mark that has run Dukes single handed over the last few months thankyou. To every one of you that has given your time professionally, as a member of staff, voluntary, musician or music lover thankyou. It has been a privilege to meet you all. We are still around so come up above Iceland to say hi and have a drink with us. We have met so many amazing people over last 10years we dont want to lose you. Remember you were all part of an era in Aylesburys history. Take care we love you guys x sue & Alston x
