The day has finally come for myself and Tommy to say goodbye to Axminster and The Castle Inn 2025.
We would like to thank everyone for the love and support we have received especially over the last few very difficult months with mum.
We are extremely sad to go, but ever so excited to take some time out, travel and heal.
We will be back ( just not behind a bar, you'll never fully get rid of us 🤣)

We are open today from 3pm till 10pm so we can finish the last few bits.

The pub is not closing though and will be back open under new management from midday tomorrow so make sure you come and meet them and have a few bevies over this very sunny bank holiday weekend.

Nikki was known for her incredible sense of humour, kindness, love of dancing, and the world feels a little quieter without her.

Please join us to share memories and say our final goodbyes:

Service: 3:00pm at East Devon Crematorium, Whimple.

Celebration of Life to follow: George Hotel, Axminster.

Nikki requested BRIGHT COLOURS for the dress code and NO FORMAL ATTIRE.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Axminster Hospital League of Friends, Hospice at Home.

Good morning all. The Castle Inn 2025 will be back open as of Friday the 24th from 3pm. Thank you for all your understanding after this very difficult time & we hope to see you tomorrow for a good ol' pint & a natter. 🍻🎉

22:22pm on Monday Nikki passed peacefully after her short battle with cancer. We will be taking some time to grieve and make arrangements for her. She will be dearly missed, but forever remembered by her glorious big smile. Fly high Angel.

We are now running Thursday to Sunday from 3pm. 📞⏰
We would also like to thank everyone for their support & kindness during this very difficult time for our family and apologize we haven't been open the last week. 🙏💔
We are spending as much quality time with nikki as we can along side giving her full time care and creating the best memories in her final weeks. 👪💕

We have decided not to open this weekend. We should be back to normal hours from Wednesday next week.
