Morning all:
It’s only fair to update you all.

We have had a meeting with Admiral Taverns and have decided to sadly leave the Boars Head, Aust. As you know, we had planned to keep both the Boars Head and The Rose Inn but sadly we will not be able to devote our time to both sites.

Admiral Taverns do not own the Boars Head, it’s owned by ‘Criterion’. Admirals ‘head lease’ comes to an end in May 2029 and Criterion are offering a 20 year full repairing lease when it’s renewed. Sadly, we can’t see any independent people taking on such a commitment without the full support of a brewery as the building needs continual maintenance etc. Inline image

Gary and Tash are very keen to ‘take the helm’ and we are sure you will all support them in this.

Techinially, our agreement with Admiral will end on 17th November so we will be around for a while, although it will probably end much sooner.

As you know, Gary and Tash have been at the Boars Head, for approx 5 months so are well versed to takeover.

You are an amazing community and we wish to say the ‘BIGGEST’ thankyou to each and everyone of you, present and past because without you, the Boars Head, Aust would not be so successful.

We are only ‘down the road’, NP26 3DU and our door is always open. ‘Arrive as a Guest, Leave as a Friend’

We have served over 400 meals today. We are proud to have our kitchen, cook your meals to order. This means the best quality and freshest meals possible. Sadly, this means that there can be a wait. We whole heartedly THANKYOU for being patient, enjoying the atmosphere and surroundings.

Time does stand still when guests are relaxed so a minute can seem 10 minutes. If you are in a rush, please let us know and we will see what we can do, or consider dining with us another time.
