Good afternoon.
The Brae will be open as usual this weekend from 4 on Friday, but when we close at 4 on Sunday it won’t be opening again.
Linda and I have tried to sell it as a going concern but although there has been a fair bit of interest I think everyone has been scared off by the uncertain future for small business’s due to the cost of electricity and supplies etc’ which is totally understandable. Ideally we would have handed it over to someone else and Auchenblae would still have a pub and Cafe. It is still for sale as a functioning business and will be for a couple of weeks after which we will empty it, so if you are interested please get in touch.
It has been a fantastic experience running a little village pub and we have made a lot of good friends in the process. We would like to thank you all so much for your support, we will miss some of you terribly and others not so much. 😂
Anyway we wouldn’t have missed it for the world.

Good afternoon all, tonight’s takeaway specials are as follows-
•Prawn and shrimp curry served with basmati rice or chips or both for £8.50
•Beer battered Sweet and sour chicken served with basmati rice or chips or both for £8.00
•Chicken and bacon open baguette topped with peppercorn sauce and grilled mozzarella served with chips for £8.00

And just to remind you that we do serve smoked sausage suppers, they just aren’t on our menu.

Good morning.
Just a quick note to let you know that The Brae is going on to winter hours as of 4pm today.
Our opening hours will be-
Open 4pm on Friday till 11pm.
10am Saturday till 11pm.
10am Sunday till 4pm.
Closed Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday.
Business as usual on our open days.
Hopefully see you all next weekend.

Evening all, Sorry for the late post, just finished a very busy night cooking at The Brae.
This post is to confirm the rumours that the Brae Cafe Bar in Auchenblae is for sale as a going concern.
We put word out through our loyal customers to see if anyone local would like to take it on first but although we have had a few enquiries nothing has been confirmed, so we thought we'd better widen the net a bit.
The Brae is a very busy little restaurant/pub and has a great many regular and return customers.
It is manageable for two people running it with occasional help from an extra member of Staff at busy times.
The reason for the sale is that we have ran it for 4 years as we did with the Clatterin Brig before it and 4 years just seems to be long enough so it's time for a change and a new challenge before we get bored and too settled.
It's a great business opportunity for a couple or a partnership. It is ready to go with a fully fitted commercial kitchen and cosy inviting bar and restaurant area.
