🎃 Happy Halloween week! We have a spooktastic offer on this week. I tried Fit to Fly before the Nottingham Trent Bridge b**r festival. I'd never buy a whole 9 gallons of stout but boy this was good. So help me drink it, buy 3 pints and have the fourth on the house. Collect up until Sunday, you don't need to have them in one night.

Saturday night join us for some Halloween party times. Just a normal Saturday, with music and costumes and ghosts*

In other news, the wooden menus are off to be replaced with new, compact ones. No more searching for the b**r QR code. If you want an old one for a souvenir please ask, they make nice little folders.

A few new b**rs to try, and a few on offer when we open Wednesday.

Hello folks. Another week is upon us, and that means more b**rs to try! Keep it Similar and Wild Hop will be conditioned to perfection. Wild Hop uses fresh hops grown at Full Mash. We've got a great l***r and craft option for you to try, and Let's go Crazy for our discount stout tonight, a 4.1% from Lenton Lane.

And talking of stouts, I'm a week late but you can now finally buy tickets to the Imperial Stout night with Emperors Brewery. It's brilliant, having tried a similar one at the fantastic Sawley Junction. Come along, no one can Force their way in so buy a ticket. W**e night tickets also on sale, down to about our last 15 of 45.

13th October 2026 update. Emporer's Imperial Stout night tickets are on sale now. Get them from opening on Wednesday. W**e night tickets have sold fast, over half gone already so grab one soon.

Halloween is coming next, join us for music, decorations and Halloween fun. Fancy dress if you've got it or come as you are if you look scary enough anyway.

Put Liv's free gig in your diary. It's not Christmas without it.

Burns night tickets will be a while to release, watch this space. These will sell out very quickly.

Good weekend fellow hiders! Have you got to enjoy the b**r festival at Trent Bridge yet? Free for CAMRA members. I certainly enjoyed it, and forgot to order Murmuration. It's very likely to run out before next week; but we've got another fine b**r from fullmash called Wild Hop that's made with their own home-grown hops. It doesn't get more local than that. And some other b**rs to try on your way to, or from the festival.

In other exciting news, salt and vinegar scratchings are back. They're as addictive as ever and now in our warmer. Give them a try!

Tickets for stout night are also delayed, the b**r festival has a lot to account for 🤣 I'll get them done asap.

Hello Hiders! Well look what's coming tonight! It's been a while sorting but we're back with some AAA Pork Crackling and now it's warm! We will be launching this on-the-fly later tonight (Thursday 1st October).

W**e night tickets are now available so grab a place while you can. Imperial Stout night tickets will go on sale from next week.

We've got a few new b**rs to try, a new England IPA from Pig & Porter, unchained melody from Castle Rock Brewery and a Collab Porter from Gasman Brews and Lenton Lane Brewery. Down to our last two boxes of Attenborough Ale too!

Lots happening this week, first up! We have 25 bottles of Attenborough Ale to sell over Scarecrow Festival week. They might not last until the weekend though, these are the last of these.

Join in the festival this Saturday and Sunday. We've not been involved in organising it this year but will have maps available from 12pm each day. And you can post your map back with your vote for best Scarecrow too. The draw for the winner will take place on Sunday 27th at around 7pm at the pub, or watch the broadcast on Facebook. And it's our 100th quiz! Can you believe it? Join us for a very special one and £100 in cash prizes. Tables are mostly booked, but please contact me and I'll squeeze you in. 'Walk ins' also welcome but may be outside.

So many new b**rs to try. Have a look through the pictures but a special mention goes to Lenton Lane Brewery for their 700th guile. Well done to Jack, Scott and the team for knocking out belter after belter of great ale; keep it up to 800! Try this now at the hide, with caution. It's a wee bit powerful.

We're nearly at our 100th quiz! £100 to give away (and more prizes). Final chance to book a table, email or message. If you have already and haven't heard back try again please. Walk-ins okay. We'll try and fit everyone even if it's outside.

And also a plug for another event. There's a good choice of music on 3rd October. The first is one of the biggest music events to happen in the area, has raised loads of money for charity every year, and features some great musicians and singers in a really fun night. The other is Oxjam.

So if you want tickets to Bandeoke, check the link on the pic or pay on the door. I'll be there to help run the bar and supply some local cask ales too!
