Two posts in a day? What what?! Well, here's some beer updates for you all. The global soccer ball championship is due to start this week, while we won't be showing the games, I will be selling a few related beers starting with The Beautiful Game. For IPA fans we have a superb new one from with Fetch The Vicar.

We have a few discount beers available starting at 2.99 so get them while they last if you want a bargain.

It's quiz night on Thursday, starting at 8pm as usual with our usual prizes. The Jackpot reset recently but will build up as we go if nobody claims it. £65 this week!

This week it's ALL CHANGE on the ale and craft front. Which means no Wednesday discounts. Oh, apart from cheap pints of Infinity. There is that. About 10 left so get down early for that.

And, we have a huge selection of wondrous beers. Two bird related, love it. Angry Bird for the Red Ale fans, Toucan Tropic for that double dry hopped cold-and-crafty edge. are on the list with Hellup, a tasty Helles Lager (yes, we do lagers but none of the crap you get in other mainstream pubs). A brand new stout from Nightbus to Nowhere! who, if you didn't know have joined forces with Hide favourites are here with Pine Strike, an APA to be savoured. We haven't given up on the Mild Trail either and Mikado Mild is here this week and we do have more stickers for the trail if you're collecting them. Then, a GF option for the stronger IPA fan with Abduction. The smell when opening this made my nostrils want to drink a pint.

No quizzes, no events just good old fashioned friendly Micropub goodness. Come join us, the team look forward to seeing you.

Hi everyone. Our usual Wise Owls quiz will be back in June, as always 2nd and 4th Thursday. This week we will have a staff lead quiz from one of our new team members Charlotte. Come join in for the chance to win the usual prizes and entry cash will go to one lucky team.

We've gone through so many beers over the bank holiday. It's the final week of Mild in May so you can try Back, Sack and Quack. Carousel is a great new pale Ale. And plenty of others!

Hi folks, another bank holiday weekend is almost upon us and we're here for your ale (and other drinks) needs. The weather is supposed to be ☀️☀️☀️ so we beat make the most and open for the Bank Holiday 2-8pm on Monday.

Glastonbudget is this week and we have a final special from to enjoy - Atomic. I have a couple of tickets I might be able to give away. If you have a pint of this or fancy going email [email protected] and I'll pick one at random.

The Mild in Mail trail continues and we've got a corker from this week with The Devils Punchbowl.

For stronger IPA fans we have Lister from and as a massive fan of Red Dwarf, and beer, can't wait to try this (in moderation, famous last words 😅)

We've also got a tonne of cider options at the moment, and a couple of discount ales from 5pm Wednesday when we open.

Have a great bank holiday when you get there whatever you're doing and if I pint at The Hide is in order the team will see you over the weekend.

Hi all! I've been keeping this under wraps, and to celebrate Sir David Attenborough's 100th birthday today we have made this exclusive beer, in collaboration with and . Attenborough Ale is available in a run of 120 bottles, and can be purchased from The Bird Hide or the Attenborough Nature Centre (who turned 60 today!).

We are fortunate to have this amazing nature reserve on our doorstep, opened by Sir David in 1966. Grab one of these collectors items before they're gone, only £5.99.
