Quiz Update – The One Where the Garden Won
113 players. 24 teams. One gloriously warm evening where the garden wasn’t just the best place to be… it was basically the VIP lounge. The indoor folks were sweating, the garden crew were sipping and judging everyone from their deckchairs. Priorities, people.
Massive thanks to our quiz overlord Kate for running the show with her usual mix of wit, charm, and that terrifying ability to make grown adults argue over the capital of Mongolia. You’re a legend and we don’t deserve you.
A huge round of applause (and maybe a round of drinks) for the Happy Cheese team – you kept everyone happy, hydrated, and slightly too full of cheese. You’re the real MVPs.
Now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for (or dreading)…
The Results (with a side of shade):
1st Place – “Candy Crush”�£65 richer and probably still humming the theme tune. Crushing it in every sense.
2nd Place – “The Fact Hunters”�£32 and still hunting. We’re convinced they’ve got a secret Wikipedia tab open somewhere.
3rd Place – “Astrology Bitch Strikes Again”�£16 and the best team name of the night. The stars clearly aligned… mostly for chaos and giggles.
4th Place – “Multiple Scoregasms” (tie broken by our super-serious count-back system)�Won the scratch card. Because apparently one kind of score wasn’t enough. We’re not even mad, we’re impressed.
Bottom Place – “Simple Minds”�Walked away with chocolate. Which, let’s be honest, is still a win. Simple minds, simple pleasures.
Chase the Joker is still sitting pretty at £500 with 49 cards left to play. The tension is real.
