What an absolute powerhouse of a night! Last night (Friday, October 30th, 2026), Stoney & The Dogs made their historic first-ever appearance at The Ashton Jubilee Club—and they completely blew the roof off Ashton's premiere rock venue.
If you missed it, you missed a masterclass in live music. The place was packed, the energy was electric, and the band went down an absolute storm from the very first chord to the final encore.
Splitting the night across two mammoth sets, the band delivered a killer blend of blistering blues-rock, classic anthems, and fantastic original material that had the crowd locked in right from the off.
Set 1: Setting the Standard
Kicking things off with the swagger of "Fate and Luck", the band immediately proved they meant business before rolling into timeless grooves like The Band’s "The Weight", and a blistering take on Free's "Wishing Well". Blending those classic cuts seamlessly alongside fresh, punchy originals like "One More Cuppa", "I'll Be There", "One More Drink", and "Empty Promises", the first half built an unstoppable momentum that peaked with a thunderous closing run through "New Orleans" and "Bad Penny".
Set 2: Raising the Roof
If Set 1 was impressive, Set 2 was pure adrenaline. Launching straight into The Beatles' "Day Tripper", the foot-stomping pace never let up. Highlights came thick and fast—from soaring guitar work on Prince's "Purple Rain" and Derek and the Dominos' "Candid Find My Way Home" to crowd-pleasing singalongs like "Jolene" and "Tennessee Wh***ey". The original tracks in the second half, including "One Of Those Kings", held their own effortlessly right beside heavy-hitting blues staples like "Hoochie Coochie Man" and "Bullfrog Blues". And just in case anyone was left wanting more, the subs bench was stacked with heavy-hitters
Stoney & The Dogs brought world-class musicianship, incredible stage presence, and a setlist tailor-made for a Friday night crowd. A phenomenal debut at The Jubilee—let’s hope it's the first of many!
