The Crowthorne Pub

The Crowthorne Pub Friendly community local with large beer garden. The 'new look' Crowthorn Pub was taken over by my partner John Bates in 2010.

Since his premature death in June 2012 I have taken on the task of continuing his legacy. My name is Maxine and I am the new Licensee. This is a lovely, warm and friendly community local, with a beautiful beer garden. The pub is situated on the corner of Crowthorn Rd and Ryecroft St near Hills biscuit factory. There is a pool team, hot food on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, Real Ale, a selection

of Single malts and regular live music. The pub is available for christenings, wakes and over 18's parties. We look forward to seeing you and giving you a warm welcome.

Just want to say goodbye and say how sorry I am that it didn't work out. I know you're all gutted, so am I. I wish it could've been different and I could've won the lottery! Thank you for all the support you gave me and John over the last 3 years. I will keep in touch with as many of you as possible as I'm not moving far away. I have made some great friends so please don't forget me! Hope to see you all soon

Hi everyone
Hope you're enjoying this lovely sunny weather.
Come and enjoy a refreshing pint in the beer garden and later on a great band will be playing. The Zodiacs do rock n roll from the 50s and 60s so get your dancing shoes on and be here by 9pm. Its free as always.

The fantastic CHEAPSKATES will be playing here at the Crowy this sat 4th May. It's FREE and they kick off at 9pm. Hope to see you all then.
Please come and support live music and your local pub!

Also coming up on the 1st June local guys BRIEF LEGEND and on 15th June the return, due to popular demand, of THE CRABS who put on such a fantastic performance back in February.

Hi everyone,
Just want to say a big thank you to all of you who came to see The Crabs on saturday night. It was a brilliant night and very well attended. Watch this space for info on more bands in the near future. The Crabs will be playing again on sat 15th June and again on sat 2nd November. I hope you will all come and support this very talented band again.

Hello everyone.
Christmas is fast approaching so its about time I let you all know what Festivities will be on for your enjoyment over the next few weeks....
Firstly on Saturday the 22nd will be The Crowthorn Christmas Party. There will be one for the kids in the afternoon from 2pm to 5pm followed by one for the adults at 8pm.
There is a list up in the pub for anyone wanting to bring their little ones to the kids party. Please come in and put down their names. There is a small cost of £1.50 towards party food and there is also a football card to contribute to presents for the kids. (Prize of £20 to the winner of the card and £20 towards the pressies)
There will be food and lots of fab music for the adults to let their hair down and have a boogie and also there will be a special Christmas Karaoke! Hope to see you all there!

The New Years Eve Party will be Fancy Dress as always and this year the theme is 'Best of British' to celebrate what a fantastic year it has been for the country with our brilliant performance at the Olympics and the Jubilee celebrations. Come dressed in Red, White and Blue or as a character from British history or as a stereotype of Britishness ie Bowler hat and brolly. There will be a themed cocktail available as well as food and lots of great tunes to dance to. Entry is free

Thank you to everyone who came to the halloween party last night.
Hope you all enjoyed it! There were some fab costumes and photos will be posted soon..... and I'd like to give a special thank you to Bev and Debbie for all their enthusiasm and hard work in organising it. You did a fantastic job!
The quiz will be on as usual tonight from 9pm.

Halloween Party on saturday from 8pm! All welcome. Would be great if people could let their hair down and come in fancy dress as the bar staff certainly will be! Strongbow competitions with prizes to be won, spooky snacks and spooky tunes.... Come to the the Crowy and indulge your dark side!
Also there is a kids party earlier between 4 and 6pm with food and party games.
