Well, not a post we would ever want to be writing but as many as you have seen & heard, our Castle is no more 🥹 🏰

Since 1999, The Castle has been a second home to so many people, who became not just friends but family to us all. I don’t think there is many who don’t have a tale or 2 from the bar & the memories will be life long like a lot of the friendships made.
Without a doubt the best bar, you could walk in and made to feel welcome within seconds and the banter was second to none.

Those who have been there from the beginning will remember those who we have sadly lost along the way, cunnaz, Joe, Wobbla, our Ali, Shelagh, a lot of friends and family who helped make the place as good as it was, the salt of the earth 🩷

We would all like to thank everyone for all the support and good times we have had over the years, unfortunately all good things come to end and it’s the end of an era for The Castle as we know it but hopefully we can all catch up for a drink or 2 at The Miners over the Christmas and New Year.

Love & best wishes

Timour - aka The King of The Castle/T Bag 🤣🫶🏽

*********STATUS UPDATE************

As you all will be well aware our beloved bar, home and business is currently up in flames 😞.

We are beyond devastated and heartbroken. We have built the castle from nothing and expanded and improved it over the last 26 years.
It is our home as well as our second family due to our regulars, friends old and new and a thriving heart of the community.

We massively appreciate all the messages and kind comments and grateful everyone is safe and nobody has been hurt.

Thank you to the police and a massive thank you the fireman who are heroes 🦸 ❤️

Timour built that bar up from the ground and there is no doubt in our mind he will do it again.

P.s Timour says he will be open tomorrow if anyone’s coming for a pint 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤣

Pps he’s not joking
