This Friday is going to be a pretty emotional one for Whiskey & Wine.

We’re heading back to The LowKey Taproom at 8pm for the closing night of this incredible little venue, and we can’t think of a more fitting way to be there.

Because Low Key Taproom is where everything started for us.

Without the incredible support of Drew, Rich and the whole LowKey team, there’s a very good chance Whiskey & Wine wouldn’t even exist.

They gave Al and Amy, two slightly nervous and very hopeful musicians, the opportunity to play their first ever gig as a little duo. They welcomed us back time and time again and gave us countless incredible nights of music, helping us grow, find our feet and eventually become the ridiculous gang of misfits we are today.

And there’s something pretty special about what happened because of that first night...

If we hadn’t played LowKey that night, we never would have met our incredible drummer Noah Blunt.

Without Noah, we never would have convinced our insanely good bass player Matt Verrell to join us.

And without laying down the foundations of our four piece, we certainly never would have found our magical Torre Redman. ❤️

So when we say LowKey means a lot to us, we really mean it.

This Friday isn't about Whiskey & Wine.
It’s about Drew, Rich and their wonderful team, and celebrating everything they’ve created in that iconic little pub.

Sadly, LowKey is closing its doors, and we want to help give them the send off they deserve.
We’ll bring the music.
You bring the community.

Let’s pack the place, raise a glass, sing our bloody hearts out and give LowKey Taproom one final, unforgettable night. 🍻❤️

The rumours of my demise have been... correct.

As of Saturday, Low Key Taproom will be no more, making way for new ownership and the next chapter for this little corner of Ashford.

So this Friday, we're having one last hurrah.

No-one can say I didn't go down swinging.

Whiskey & Wine will be playing, drinks will have standard pricing across the board, and we intend to give Low Key Taproom the send-off it deserves.

This will be a night for the ages.

It is incredibly sad to leave all of this behind, but a combination of financial, personal and health reasons has ultimately forced my hand.

It has been an absolute pleasure to serve you, and Ashford as a whole, for almost four and a half years. I am enormously grateful to everyone who drank here, worked here, played here, supported us, laughed with us, and helped turn Low Key Taproom into what it became.

And I have every confidence that the new owners will take the taproom on to even greater things.
