Join us next Saturday for some live looping, chilled hip hop, jazz and world vibes from Guohan. Support from Alex Skinz, followed by a jam session around the fire. It’s gonna be a great evening!

On Saturday 8th April Guohan is bringing his live-looping, sample-based show to Creative Peaks own spiritual nest, the Watts Russell Arms.

Nottingham-based chillhop master Guohan grew up in Ningbo, China and began shaping his sound in the emerging beat scene in Southern China, before bringing his unique influences and detailed interpretations to the UK in 2011.
Hiss effortless style reflects the mountains and liminal spaces of his dreams and memories, channeling a healing warmth inspired by people, cities, villages, and tales of his grandparents, and brings the listener along on an up-tempo odyssey, while retaining his signature hypnotic style. Incorporating hazy synths, percussive rhythms, and collected sound pieces, he paints a vivid picture of his personal journey.

Aside from co-founding artist-led, Nottingham-based label Running Circle Records, Guohan also co-runs Meridian Sounds, an imprint from Southern China pushing subliminal sounds from his motherland.
