🎄 CHRISTMAS 2026 AT THE RED LION, ARUNDEL 🎄

The Christmas menu has landed… and we think this one is looking rather special. ✨

From Chicken Liver Parfait and Crispy Fried Camembert, through to Twice-Cooked Pork Belly, Pan-Fried Sea Bass and, of course, a proper Butter-Roast Turkey with all the trimmings, there’s plenty here to get you feeling suitably festive.

And then there’s pudding… Traditional Christmas Pudding, Crispy Fried Figs, Warm Chocolate Brownie or a Smashed Lemon Pavlova. Decisions, decisions... ! 😋

THURSDAY 3rd - OPEN MIC
New month, same brave souls. Sing, strum, bash, blow or simply prop up the bar and offer enthusiastic encouragement from a professionally safe distance.

FRIDAY 4th - MACBAND
Duncan McKenzie on lead guitar and vocals,joined by Jim Barr on bass and Chris Hunt on drums.Three seriously seasoned musicians, one formidable littleband and absolutely no mystery about why they’re here.

SATURDAY 5th - DAVID HAY BAND
Experienced, polished and armed with the sort of repertoire that comes from years spent doing this properly. The David Hay Band are well established around the Sussex live circuit, no gimmicks required, just seasoned musicians and a very deep bag of tunes.

FRIDAY 11th - JONNY WIGG FOLK
Something a little different for Friday night as Jonny Wigg brings folk music to The Red Lion. Musicianship takes centre stage,proof that you don't need several thousand watts to command a pub.

SATURDAY 12th - TEX'S ROCKABILLY RIOT
Quiffs at the ready. Sussex-based Tex and his Rockabilly Riot return with rock 'n' roll revival firmly on the agenda,vintage rhythms, infectious energy and absolutely noguarantee your feet will remain where you left them.

THURSDAY 17th - ORIGINALS OPEN MIC
No covers, no musical comfort blankets. Our monthly stage for musicians performing their own material, established writers, emerging talent and songs that haven't already been murdered at a thousand karaoke nights.

FRIDAY 18th - MYSTERY BAND
Who are they? Excellent question. Whoever they turn out to be, they'll be great as ever. Consider it live music with the wrapper still on, turn up Friday and we'll all find out together.

SATURDAY 19th - OUTATIME
Great Scott! Local favourites Outatime return to supply the Saturday-night energy. A proper crowd-pleasing live band and another good reason to forget about getting home early. Where we're going, we don't need sensible bedtimes.

FRIDAY 25th - WILLIE AUSTIN
A familiar face, a well-stocked songbook and a man who knows exactly what a Friday-night pub requires. Willie Austin returns to do what Willie does, we'll provide the beer, you provide the audience.

SATURDAY 26th - MICK & THE ROCKIN DAWGS
September goes out barking. Mick and the Rockin Dawgs take care of our final Saturday with a name that promises rock 'n' roll and very little sitting politely in baskets. Good Dawgs. Loud Dawgs.

SATURDAY 1st — HAKUNA PESA
No worries, plenty of noise. Hakuna Pesa get August moving with infectious, crowd-pleasing tunes, feel-good favourites and the sort of Saturday night that rarely ends where sensible people intended.

THURSDAY 6th — OPEN MIC
The stage is yours. Sing, strum, play or simply grab a pint and admire those considerably braver than yourself.

FRIDAY 7th — SCREAMING L*Z & THE ROCKABILLY RIOT
The quiff may be optional, standing still isn't. Vintage swagger, rockabilly rhythms and good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll with enough energy to rattle the bottles behind the bar.

SATURDAY 8th — TRIPLE X
Classic rock with the safety catch removed. This seasoned power trio raid the good cupboards — Hendrix, Cream, Zeppelin, The Who, Deep Purple, Free and plenty more besides.

FRIDAY 14th — WHISKEY OVER ICE
Country rides into the High Street, from Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton through to Shania Twain, Luke Combs and today's favourites. Boots encouraged; horse parking remains extremely limited.

SATURDAY 15th — BILLY NOMATES
Despite the name, they've accumulated rather a lot of friends over three decades of rocking the South East.

THURSDAY 20th — 'ORIGINALS' OPEN MIC
No covers, no safety net. Our monthly celebration of musicians performing their own material and original songs.

FRIDAY 21st — PETE ORR SOLO
Normally heading Electric Experience — finest purveyors of Hendrix and Cream — Pete goes it alone tonight. Solo, certainly, but by no means travelling light: one man, plenty of firepower and nobody else to share the applause with.

SATURDAY 22nd — THE MAFIA
The Festival begins with an offer you really shouldn't refuse. The Mafia bring decades of South Coast rock pedigree to Saturday night.

FRIDAY 28th — JUKEBOX JONES & THE MIGHTY BOOTH
Two Arundel musicians, approximately a whole band's worth of noise.

SATURDAY 29th — SLIM JIM & THE WILD CARDSDragon boats by day, Wild Cards by night. Once the paddles are down, Slim Jim and the gang deal out Saturday night's soundtrack.

Friday 10th - DAVE & FI’s JUKEBOX
Performing a unique, curated set list of crowd-pleasing classics that aren't always played live, spanning artists like David Bowie, Kate Bush and The Kinks.

Saturday 11th - ENGLAND QUARTER FINAL ?
Tonight might just feature England, or at the very least, the kind of hopeful anticipation that keeps pub TVs permanently on standby.

Sunday 12th - HAKUNA PESA
Vibrant party music fueled by passion and lyrical grit. Their unique sound blends reggae, ska, and punk rock. Plus and opportunity to wish Chris Lake ‘Happy Birthday’!

Rock and Blues covers. His energetic sets feature classic hits from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Come andenjoy this legendary artist doing what he does, brilliantly.

Saturday 13th - SATURDAY NIGHT FUNERAL
Rock and Pop Covers, focusing on high-energy, crowd-pleasing anthems. They frequently perform classic rock, pop, soul, and R&B.
