Anstruther Golf Club was founded in 1890 and has seen many changes over the years.

The initial layout comprised 7 holes with trenches through the middle of the course and poles scattered over the greens to stop gliders landing during the war. In more peaceful times the course was extended to an excellent 9 holes which is kept in superb condition throughout the year. The course is located 9 miles south of St Andrews and stretches along the shoreline between Anstruther and Pittenweem. The spectacular views over Anstruther Harbour and out to the Isle of May, Bass rock and south west to Edinburgh are a constant distraction. Golfers should beware of Anstruther Golf Club’s version of Amen corner which comprises a series of 3 challenging par 3’s starting with The Rockies (5th) voted the toughest par 3 in the UK!

The ladies of Anstruther Golf Club donated £180 to Anstruther Improvements Association (AIA) from raffle proceeds raised earlier this year at their Open Greensomes competition.

Massive good luck to Junior member Jack Guthrie ⛳️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 who will be taking part in the US Kids British Championship today and tomorrow at The Vale Resort in Wales.

Jack is competing in the Boys 9yr old section and gets his first round underway today at 1158 🍀⛳️

The course will be closed today for safety reasons due to the high winds

We have decided that due to the current weather and the 80-100km/h winds forecast for Sunday that the course will be closed until Monday morning at the earliest.

Our Greenkeeper Stuart will make a decision on Monday morning regarding play that day.

As of Monday 2nd November we will be open as follows:
Mon to Thu, 930am - 3/4pm depending on business (all day on Rotary Mondays)
Fri/Sat/Sun, 930am till late

FIREWORKS NIGHT AT THE ROCKIES!

Join us on Thursday 5th November for a sparkling night with the best view of Anstruther’s fireworks in town!

We’ll have fire pits blazing all evening, with toasted marshmallows and glow sticks for the little ones, plus warming mulled c***r for the grown-ups.

Tuck into delicious food, soak up spectacular views and enjoy a night by the water!

Outside seating is available on a first come, first served basis, with no reservations. Limited reservations are available in the Rockies Restaurant and clubhouse.
