Come on in out of the rain… ☔🍺

The weather might be doing its best to keep us all indoors this week, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

There’s something rather lovely about escaping a wet, grey evening and stepping into the warmth of a cosy country pub — lights glowing, a pint waiting at the bar and nowhere you particularly need to rush off to.

As the nights start to draw in and the weather begins to change, there’s something rather lovely about coming in from the cold to the smell and warmth of an open fire. 🔥🍂

It won’t be long before the fire is crackling away again, ready to welcome you through the door of our cosy family-run country pub.

And there are plenty of good reasons to settle in for the evening…

It won’t be long before the crackle of the open fire is welcoming you through the door at The Lion, the evenings are drawing in and our cosy little country pub starts to feel very different.

We’re looking for someone new to join The Lion family! 🦁🍻

We’re currently looking for Front of House / Bar Staff to join our friendly team here at The Lion at Clanville.

We’re a busy, family-run village pub, so we’re looking for someone who is friendly, outgoing, confident with customers and happy getting stuck in when things get busy.

Previous bar or hospitality experience would be great, and ideally we’d love to hear from someone who already holds a Personal Licence to sell alcohol — although we’d still like to hear from you if you think you’d be a good fit.

And we’re pleased to be hosting the monthly Pub Quiz & Meat Draw again at The Lion at Clanville this Sunday!

Grab your clever friends, come up with a team name and join us for a relaxed evening of questions, laughs, prizes and a bit of friendly competition.

🕕 Starts at 6pm
👥 Maximum 6 people per team
💷 £3 per person
🥩 Meat Draw – £1 per ticket

All proceeds from the Meat Draw will be donated to Naomi House & Jacksplace, supporting children, young adults and their families.

Tables fill up, so don’t miss out!
