Sorry folks, we're a bit behind ourselves this week, but better late than never!

Here's our Prix-Fixe lunchtime menu for this week, with another lovely selection of dishes to choose from. Hopefully there's something on there that'll tempt you! 😊

📅 Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
🕛 Lunch served 12pm – 2:15pm

There's still time to enjoy it this week, and with the autumn weather starting to settle in, we can't think of a much nicer way to spend a lunchtime than enjoying some good food in the warmth of our little country pub.

We'll make sure we're a bit quicker getting next week's menu out to you! 😂

🚗 SHIFT SOCIAL IS BACK AT THE LION THIS SUNDAY! 🏎️

This Sunday 18th October, we're looking forward to welcoming Shift Social UK back to The Lion at Clanville for their final meet of the year!

Whether you're a bit of a car enthusiast or just fancy getting the family out for a Sunday morning, why not pop along? Come and have a wander, enjoy a coffee, take a look at some lovely cars and say hello. It's always a friendly, relaxed morning here at The Lion, and we'd love to see you! 😊

Here’s this week’s Prix-Fixe menu at The Lion! 🦁

Phil and the team have been busy putting together another new selection for you this week, with a few proper pub favourites on there that we think you’re going to enjoy.

As always, the menu changes each week, so there’s always something different to try — and at 2 courses for £22 or 3 courses for £28, it’s a lovely excuse to pop in for lunch.

Available Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, with lunch served from 12pm – 2:15pm.

If you haven’t been in for a little while, come and see us, grab a table, enjoy some good food and say hello. And to all our regulars, we’ll hopefully see plenty of you again this week!

What day are we seeing you? 😊

There’s plenty going on at The Lion throughout the week at the moment, and hopefully a good excuse to come and see us whichever day takes your fancy.

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday we’ve got our new Prix-Fixe Lunch menu, which changes every week.

Then before we know it, Friday rolls around and it’s time for our Fish & Chips Friday offer… always a popular one! 🐟🍟

And of course, there’s Sunday. A proper Sunday roast, a drink at the bar and nowhere you need to rush off to afterwards. That’s what Sundays are for as far as we’re concerned.

Whether you’re one of our regulars or you haven’t popped in for a little while, come and say hello. We’re still the same family-run country pub, and there’ll always be a warm welcome waiting for you.

You know the one. You’ve just walked through the door, found yourself a spot and that first pint gets put down in front of you.

There’s just something about that first sip that always seems to hit the spot.

A little something new from us at The Lion… 🍽️

Phil and the team have been busy behind the scenes putting together something new for our weekday lunchtimes, and we’re really pleased to finally share it with you.

Starting this week, we’ll be offering a new Pre-Fixe Lunch Menu every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

2 courses £22
3 courses £28

The menu will change every week, giving you something different to come in and try — whether it’s lunch with friends, a midweek catch-up, or simply an excuse to let us do the cooking!

We’d love you to come along, give it a try and, most importantly, tell us what you think. As a small family-run pub, your feedback really does help us shape what we do here at The Lion.

We’re turning the tables over to you for this one… 😊

Thinking back over your last couple of visits to The Lion, what’s the one dish you really enjoyed? Maybe it’s something you order every time, something you tried for the first time, or simply a meal you enjoyed with good company.

We’re a small family-run pub, so hearing what you’ve enjoyed genuinely matters to us — and it’s always nice to know what we’re getting right!

We’re looking for someone new to join The Lion family! 🦁🍻

We’re currently looking for Front of House / Bar Staff to join our friendly team here at The Lion at Clanville.

We’re a busy, family-run village pub, so we’re looking for someone who is friendly, outgoing, confident with customers and happy getting stuck in when things get busy.

Previous bar or hospitality experience would be great, and ideally we’d love to hear from someone who already holds a Personal Licence to sell alcohol — although we’d still like to hear from you if you think you’d be a good fit.
