🔨🚽 THE GREAT WESTERN MEN’S TOILET RENOVATION… WHAT A JOURNEY! 😂
What started off as a “we’ll just give the men’s toilets a little makeover” quickly turned into something we were definitely NOT prepared for! 🤣
We thought it would be straightforward… how wrong were we?! 🫣
🚽 Urinals 2 – Cerys 0 (yes, TWO smashed urinals!)
🥊 Anthony somehow ended up with a black eye!
🔨 Hammer 1 – Us 0 (another casualty!)
🚗 More trips to Screwfix than we can count, constantly forgetting something, buying the wrong bits and even driving around with a pipe hanging out of the car! 😂
💦 Leaks, leaks and MORE leaks! Every time we thought we’d cracked it, something else started leaking!
🤢 And don’t even get us started on the amount of times we had to put our hands down the open sewage drain… absolutely VILE!
🐾 Of course, our little site manager was on hand throughout, making sure everyone was working hard and the boards had enough adhesive!
There have been plenty of mistakes, a few choice words, lots of head scratching and moments where we genuinely wondered what we’d got ourselves into! 🤦♀️
But with determination, a LOT of patience and some much-needed help and advice from our lovely locals, WE GOT THERE! 💙
We’re certainly not plumbers, builders or decorators, but we’ve given it our best shot and learnt an awful lot along the way!
A massive thank you to everyone who lent a hand, offered advice or put up with us moaning about the toilets for days on end! 😂❤️
From what they were to what they are now… we’re pretty proud of ourselves! 🥹👏
And if anyone asks us to renovate another toilet anytime soon… ABSOLUTELY NOT! 🤣🚽
