Well its half term and things have got very manic,which is good as it means we have plenty of people in the Valley. Wainwrights is doing 1/3 pint Beer Bats which is a great way to sample the fine ales that Cumbria produces. And yes the Langdale Valley still offers you the greatest beer garden in the world......

I have always said from day dot that Real Ale sales are so important and that its only a matter of time before the smarter breweries cotton onto this. Theres no mileage in super cold Lager, one, you cant taste it and two, theres no loyalty following with it..And the above link just proves this.

I am getting abit fed up of the doom mongering amongst the pub trade, its not all doom and gloom. Yes its sad when a Pub closes but maybe it closed for a reason? Maybe pubs/managers dont adapt quick enough to this fluid economical enviroment? You cant live on your past, but i am pretty sure that when one pub closes another better one opens? Dont try and compete with the pub down the road from you, work together as its smarter? And the best example of this is what we are doing now with the LangdALE Valley Pub Crawl. Come and pay us a visit in the Valley and you will soon see that the Pub trade and real ale is alive and kicking...
