Sundays are for roasts… simple as that 🍽️

We’ll have the roasts on, the Yorkshire puddings rising, and the gravy flowing. Proper crispy roast potatoes – seasoned with thyme, rosemary and our own little secret seasoning – golden on the outside and fluffy in the middle.

Add in seasonal veg, generous slices of meat and rich homemade gravy poured the way it should be, and you’ve got yourself a Sunday done right.

Bring the family, bring your mates, or just bring your appetite.

Serving 12–5pm.

Message on behalf of the Hume family.

We have been deeply moved by the overwhelming outpouring of love and many, requests to pay respects to Chris.

Because so many of you have reached out, the family have decided to open the service at Bockenfiled Crematorium on Wednesday 18th February to local friends and colleagues who are unable to make it to Nether Alderly on Thursday 26th February.

At 11:30 Chris will leave the Market Square Alnwick going to Alnmouth, 11.55 at his childhood home, Peases Garden, through the village & onto Bockenfield , Felton.
The service will take place at 12:30 followed by a reception at one of Chris’s pubs, The Sun Inn in Alnmouth, all family, friends & colleagues are welcome.

Chris’s main funeral service will be 26th February at St Mary’s Church at 2pm in Nether Alderly with a reception at The Drum and Monkey pub after.
