🧵 Come along and join our friendly Sewing Cafe with on Wednesday 23rd September!

A sociable group, where you can come and sew in company and get sewing advice from Westy tutor Ginny Farquhar. Join us from 10:30am to 12:30pm and stay as long as you like - our popular monthly sewing session uses our own Janome sewing machines in the Creative Studio on a Wednesday morning once a month.

Bring your own projects to work on, if you are a complete beginner Ginny can introduce you to simple stitching on our Janome sewing machines or you can help make drain bags or heart cushions to donate to your local hospital.

Donations of wool are always welcomed!

These sessions will explore dance fitness and strength training with some light resistance and dance toning tracks. Barre work for lower body strength and a stretch and flow routine will conclude the session, leaving you energised for the rest of the day!

Spend a calm, creative day with artist-maker Lucy Pick (shortlisted for TOAST New Maker 2025) discovering the magic of block printing. You'll play with pattern and design, then carve your own lino block to print and decorate a handloom Indian scarf to take home. It's an informal but informative day from which you will gain an insight into cutting lino blocks and the joy of pattern design.
