🎃 It’s officially spooky season here at The Cowshed!

If you’re up late the night before trick-or-treating this Saturday, or have had a busy weekend pumpkin carving, don’t worry, we’ve got Sunday sorted!

Food on the Mooove will be back serving up our famous Yorkie wraps, served with crispy roasties and plenty of our infamous Cowshed gravy. Choose from pulled chicken, pulled beef or pulled pork!

So whether you’re recovering from a Halloween party or just fancy something delicious, we’ll have you covered. So leave the cooking to us, bring your appetite and pop down this Sunday!

No tricks, just treats!

Introducing our Festive Menus for 2026! 🎄

These menus will be available throughout the festive months for you all to enjoy! We hope you love them!

The menus will all be launching on the 26th November for all of your festive needs!

The Main Festive Menu will be available Thursday-Saturday between 12-20:30pm.

We also have a set-price, three-course Christmas Fayre menu available on Thursday-Saturday, 12-20:30pm, ideal for all of your Christmas Parties!

And the Festive Sunday menu will be available on Sundays, 12-18:00pm.

We hope there is something that you all fancy, and we look forward to celebrating with you all.

✨ A little update from The Cowshed! 🐮

From Thursday 5th November, we’ll be mooo-ving to our new opening hours to welcome you all for longer!

Whether you’re joining us for a relaxed lunch, a cosy evening meal, a Sunday roast by the fire or popping in for a quick drink, we can’t wait to welcome you!

Our new opening hours:

Monday-Wednesday: Closed

Thursday-Saturday: 12pm-20:30pm (last reservation time)

Sunday: 12pm-18:00pm (last reservation time)

And the Food on the Mooove!!! Trailer will be serving up your favourite Yorkie wraps every Sunday from 12pm-18:00pm!

Autumn Sundays are made for this. 🍂

Gather around the table, settle by the fire and let us do the cooking. Our Sunday lunches are all about the crispiest roasties, proper Yorkshire puddings, rich gravy and a plateful of comfort - best enjoyed with some good company, a glass of w**e and the fire crackling in the background.

As the days get colder, it’s time to slow down, treat yourself and make Sunday the best day of the week.

It’s harvest time! 🥕🚜

Another busy Sunday here at The Cowshed, with a rather spectacular view for our customers as the carrot harvest gets underway in the field beyond The Pasture garden area.

After a challenging summer for growing, the harvester has been busy working its way up and down the rows, bringing this year’s crop ready for the months ahead.

And we’re lucky enough to have a delivery of these very carrots coming straight to us - so keep an eye out for them making an appearance alongside our Sunday lunches.

We have an exciting opportunity here at The Cowshed!

We’re currently looking for an experienced full-time Sous Chef, confident in supporting high-volume service, leading the kitchen team, and helping manage stock, cleanliness, menu development, and day-to-day operations. The role requires experience in a gastro-pub setting with previous leadership roles.

Here at the Cowshed, all of our roles are done with a smile. We are a family-run business and pride ourselves on reliability, teamwork, flexibility, and consistency. At our core, we look after one another!

Next up in our “Meet the Team” series is Jada!

Jada has worked with us here at The Cowshed for four years, and we’ve loved every second! You’ll often see Jada around on the floor taking your orders, or in the “Food on the Mooove!!!” Trailer cooking up your Yorkie wraps!

Some words from Jada:

What’s your favourite thing about working at The Cowshed? 🐮

“It has to be the people. I love working with such a great team and getting to know all of our customers. It’s not only the work-life as well, we always organise rounders meet-ups outside of work to enjoy the summer sun!”

What’s your favourite drink? 🍸

“A Sarti Spritz! It was added to our drinks menu a few weeks back, and it’s the best way to relax in the sun with some good company.”

What’s your favourite dish? 🍽️

“I’d be lying if I didn’t say the pulled beef Yorkie wraps from the trailer. I absolutely love them - however, I’m slightly biased as I think I make the best one!”

And finally, a few words from Will!

“Jada has become a real star member of our team. She’s incredibly capable and has developed into someone we can rely on confidently, even when we are busy! She’s always willing to get stuck in, takes responsibility and genuinely cares about giving our customers the best experiences possible. Watching her grow in confidence and capability has been brilliant!”

Jada is now preparing for her next chapter, with plans to move into a banking apprenticeship. We’re incredibly proud of everything she’s achieved during her time with us and excited to see where her next adventure takes her. Don’t worry, she’ll still be with us at the weekends cooking up your wraps!
