Work is starting on active travel improvements from Deedes Street to Stirling Street from Monday 14 September for approx. 40 weeks.
The first phase, from Glencraig Street eastwards along Alexander Street, will include pedestrian crossing and footway improvements, new street lighting and road drainage. The subsequent phases will include a new signalised junction at Alexander Street and Stirling Street, as well as active travel improvements from Glencraig Street westwards along Deedes Street.
Traffic will be managed with lane closures and temporary traffic signals, which will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm.
This work will form part of Strategic Network Route 7, which will connect Uddingston to Caldercruix via Coatbridge and Airdrie. For more information, visit https://ow.ly/fa1x50ZMs6E
