After the successful completion of our inaugural Weigh To Go Programme, we are delighted to announce the launch of a 2nd 15 week block of classes.
Weigh to Go is a free 15-week local programme, open to men and women above the age of 16, and led by a qualified instructor. It combines practical education on healthy eating, support for making positive lifestyle and habit changes, and a physical activity session suitable for all fitness levels. The programme is open to anyone living in North or South Lanarkshire who wants to manage their weight by eating well and becoming more active.
Rather than prescribing a set diet or meal plan, Weigh to Go focuses on giving you the knowledge, confidence, and skills to make informed choices that fit your lifestyle. With guidance from your instructor, you’ll set realistic goals to help you make lasting changes to your eating habits and activity levels. You’ll be encouraged to attend weekly sessions, reflect on what you learn, and apply it between sessions.
After completing the 15-week programme, you can continue your journey by joining the Weigh to Go Maintenance programme, which offers ongoing support to help you maintain your progress independently.
At specific points throughout the course, your instructor will take confidential measurements, such as your weight. These will never be shared with the group. Information will be collected on weight and general wellbeing helps ensure the programme meets your needs and supports you effectively.
The classes will take place on Monday mornings from 10.30am-midday at Airdrie Workmens Club (upstairs hall), with the 1st session taking place on 15th June.
Spaces are limited to 15 places, which we expect to be taken quickly. Please email [email protected] if you are interested.
