Hi everyone! I’m a 15 year old photographer in York, and always love to go out early in the morning to take photos of York, when no one is about. I love photographing the Golden Hour, finding interesting light and getting unusual angles and compositions that many may not have noticed before, for example through framing the Ouse and Hospitium through Lendal Bridge, and getting a reflection of St Mary’s Abbey on a rainy day.

🎉 I have just launched my FIRST EVER CALENDAR for 2027!!! It’s been a really long time in the making but I’m so pleased with how it’s turned out! Today we’ve had a delivery from 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐚𝐜 | 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫 | 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐔𝐊 of his 2027 York Calendars! Full of Isaac’s amazing local photography and featuring commentary from Isaac himself on his inspiration for each photo and how he took them!

I’m personally looking forward to marking exciting dates and events in 2027 while appreciating the amazing photography! ❤️

A huge thank you to Blueberry Academy York for choosing Books & Bevs to host their Business and Enterprise groups Blind Date With A Book this academic year! So proud to have raised the money for them.

But more importantly thank you to everyone who got a book and donated to their amazing organisation. The support from you all has been incredible and to end their academic year with the money raised and only 3/4 books remaining, from the two crate fulls we started off with, is amazing to see!

This will be returning later this year and we can’t wait to have it available at Books & Bevs again!

We want to give a big shout out of thanks to the wonderful team Books & Bevs York in Acomb who have been an inspirational business partner for our Business and Enterprise group this last academic year. Hosting our Blind date with a book, we raised a fantastic £324 thanks to their support. The money is used to fund a celebration day and occasional cafe trips etc for the group, alongside giving a little pot to support their Enterprising ideas. A huge THANK YOU! to all who supported us by making a purchase of the recycled book products we made and sold at Book and Bevs Acomb. We have closed the project for the summer but aim to be back in the autumn/winter months (watch this space). Book and Bev is open all year round selling Books and well worth a visit. They have a lovely cafe area and their drinks are fab. Do mention us if you get chance to pop in for a drink and /or a cake. It’s a scorcher again this week but we’re open as usual! ☀️

The ice machine has put in an overtime request, the fans blaring and we’re blessed that B&B stays relatively cool! 😎

Ask me again tomorrow though, with expected 34° heat we’ve gotta play it by ear! 🥶

KIDS BOOK CLUB 📚

It’s live and the opening theme is YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK ❤️ No set reading, just come to book club and talk about your favourite book and why you love it so much!

Join our Weekly Kids Book Club it’s FREE! Each week we select a theme and invite your young ones to be part of the conversation. Your membership includes 10% off hot/cold drinks while you accompany the young readers! This is aimed at children aged 7-12 but if they love books and want to discuss, the age range doesn’t matter! And no obligation to come back next time, you can pick and choose when you want to attend!

Tickets are per child attending! This Book Club will be held on Sunday 16th August 2026, at Books & Bevs, 89 Front Street, YO24 3FE, 1pm-2.15pm
