- NOS YFORY / TOMORROW NIGHT
ABERYSTWYTH FOLK CLUB will be running their monthly open-mic night. Expect old songs, traditional tunes, and performances all night!

- DYDD MERCHER / WEDNESDAY -
Join in with our ever popular weekly KARAOKE party. Sing us some classics on our state of the art Karaoke system, with drinks offers, great times, and the best Karaoke night in town!

- DYDD IAU / THURSDAY -
CATRIN O'NEIL & JONATHAN DAVIES (Three Legged Marehe) hit the stage for an evening of Welsh song, Irish jigs, and beautiful original music. Her humour and ability to tell a story transports the audience to places past and present, incorporating harp, fiddle, bouzouki and whistle.

- DYDD GWENER / FRIDAY -
Jazz, Funk, and Blues, FRANTASMAGORIA is a quartet featuring saxophone, drums, double bass and electric guitar. The music is inspired by great jazz composers including Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Charles Mingus, and Thelonious Monk. Their unique interpretation and spontaneous energy brings often unexpected and exciting flavours of latin, funk and even tango.

- DYDD SADWRN / SATURDAY -
PANEDENI are a multicultural band with a mix of Arabic, Welsh and English. This unique ensemble whose name fuses the Welsh phrase Paned, for a cup of tea, with Adeni tea from Aden, Yemen expands horizons and crosses cultural borders. They blur the lines between Eastern and Western music and focus on collaboration to bring their unique experiences to the forefront of an exciting musical project. Not to be missed!

- DYDD SUL / SUNDAY -
Come and perform at our weekly OPEN-MIC session and play us a song or two! Join in with a great, welcoming community of regular performers, as well as offering performer discount. Sign up on the night and get involved!

HENO / TONIGHT

Aidan Thorne and Jason Ball will be performing their latest album Poems in Space, a beautiful, unique interpretation on Welsh traditional music.

Poems of a Space is the second album from the guitarist Jason Ball and bassist Aidan Thorne. All of the compositions on this album were written, arranged, recorded and mixed by the duo.
The concept of the album was to invoke nostalgia, rekindle a memory of a time and/or place. The pieces are engulfed in a fog of guitar ambience and measured 6 string bass textures. As with their previous release, Archwilio’r Traddodiad | Exploring the Tradition there is an emphasis on experiences within the Welsh landscape. The song Banc Y Celyn, refers to the hill overlooking Aidans home in Powys. And the track Clouds, was written after a hike up the Sugar Loaf near Abergavenny.

Deeply rooted in jazz, the style carefully glides between written and improvised elements. Some of the compositions were realised and refined from recordings of loose jam sessions. One may hear nods to influences from 70’s ECM records such as Terje Rypdall or Bill Frizell.

Monthly experimental music night NAWR returns for another incredible line-up showcasing some of the best music from the Welsh experimental landscape. This month featuring extemporary exploration from some of Aberystwyths finest practitioners:

- LANDSCAPE SU***DE are a way out Wales avant-garde bass guitar duo, with MK Lord (Capri-Batterie) and artist filmmaker Mars Saude leaning into distortion, drone, and feedback. 🦅

- SIMON RICHARDS (Tai Haf Heb Drigolyn) will be performing a solo set on tape machines with electronic noodling, tape warping, and pedal pushing. 🦠

Event by Gwrandewch, supported by Ty Cerdd, Nation Lottery, Arts Council of Wales, Welsh Government.
