Slugfest 10

THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT

We've finally totted up all the proceeds from Slugfest 10 so it's time to put this wonderful thing to bed. Firstly this year broke all records and raised the amazing sum of £5,006. Marie Curie Cancer Care, Alzheimer's Society, Aim High For Aiyla and Friends Of Six Bells Park will all be benefiting from this.

It's also time to bring Slugfest to an end. It's been a real blast over 10 years and has raised over £25,000 for charity so it's going out on a high. There'll be an extensive thanks list very soon but a huge thanks goes out to everyone involved over the past 10 years. The bands, everyone who's attended, the venues and their staff, everyone who made it what is was - the greatest DIY, totally free music festival in the world!!! Much love x

We had a banging 17 track comp CD for Slugfest this year with some exclusive tracks by Christmas, Deathtraps (ex Sick Livers),Layman's Terms and Scumbag Millionaire. It also contain sh*tloads of other brilliant songs. We've got a few left and all proceeds go to the Slugfest charities. They are £2.50 postage paid to the UK and £3.50 postage paid to everywhere else. Get on it!

INFO FOR BANDS (IN CASE YOU MISSED THE MEMO).

There'll be two stages running side by side both Friday and Saturday. While one stage plays, the other sets up so there'll be 30 or 45 minute changeover depending on your time slot.

Each stage will have drum shells and some stands, 2 guitar cabs (8 ohm), a bass cab (8 ohm) and will cater for up to 3 vocal mics. Bass will be DI'ed and amps and drums will be fully mic'ed.

Bands need to bring amp heads, drum breakables and any specific bits of kit they can't live without (e.g. some vintage combo, cowbell, the spirit of Syd Barrett).

There will be a safe storage area in the downstairs stage area where gear should be stored before changeover and after playing to not obstruct upstairs areas, which will be very busy.

Other than that, drink, dance and play your fu***ng hearts out!!!
