“I CAN’T REMEMBER THE STEPS!”

If this thought has ever stopped you from trying ballroom dancing, you’re definitely not alone.

Here’s something every beginner needs to know:

You are NOT expected to remember everything immediately.

When you’re learning a new dance, your brain is processing a LOT:

👣 Which foot do I use?
↔️ Which direction do I go?
🎵 Where’s the beat?
🧍 How should I hold myself?
😳 What is my partner doing?!

It’s completely normal for it to feel like information overload at first.

That’s why we break things down.

One step.
One movement.
One pattern.
One piece of music at a time.

Then we repeat.

And repeat.

And repeat again. 😄

Eventually something amazing happens…

You stop thinking about every individual step and your body starts to remember it for you.

So don’t worry about being perfect.

Your only goal in the beginning is:

👉 Have a go.

Tomorrow: Do you actually need a dance partner?
