FULL BAND ANNOUNCEMENT 📍
Joining FER4Z, Florence Jack and Jackill on the 21st March at the Tunnels, we’re proud to showcase the musicians making up this year’s HOURS Rhyme Lounge house band:
Hailing from Gary, Indiana, and now based in Aberdeen, Nuna Mutikani is a Nu-jazz/Soul-Funk musician whose sound artfully blends the intricate harmonies of jazz, the soulful depths of R&B, and the infectious grooves of funk. A talented modern composer, Nuna’s music emerges from a space of deep introspection, with each piece serving as a candid conversation with himself.
Scott Cruickshank is one of Aberdeen’s busiest musicians. Playing in every kind of band under the sun, from ska to hotclub, swing, funk, ceilidh, and jazz, he has performed all over Scotland and returns to the HOURS house band to showcase that versatility and ability.
Another HOURS veteran, Kit Purnell joins us on the drums. Comfortable on any stage from busking around the city centre to sharing stages with headline acts like Sandi Thom, Kit has years of experience under his belt to lay down the backbone of the groove for the night.
Ewa Langiewicz is an up and coming singer/songwriter based in Aberdeen. She has performed at various notable events throughout the city such as the Tall Ships festival in 2025 as well as regular appearances at Jazz, Blues and Reggae events. She takes influence from a wide variety of singers such as Whitney Houston, Etta James and Billie Holliday.
Just over two weeks to go, see you there from 10.30pm ⏳
