Spring is on the way!
I hope everyone has been enjoying the sunshine. Still very cold overnight don't you think? I thought I would just pop on here and just update everyone with what my plans are. I have not been posting very much but have been keeping fairly busy with my Etsy page.
So after much reflection and a constant back and forth I am going to be focusing the business on what I have sold most of over the last two years. That is tea party decorations!
As many of you know I started the business selling handmade candles and melts and I enjoyed this for 12 years. However over the years regulations, material costs and a general market saturation has made this more difficult, and honestly, making small batches of candles is pretty much like standing over a hot oven all day! So I tried to pull back, then did a few more, pulled back and gradually realised I must leave this behind. You may see a resurgence of wax wreaths at Christmas but I am otherwise stepping back from wax for good!
Just before the pandemic, I purchased a cutting machine. This was purely for packaging but the possibilities were endless and after some experimenting I started making decorations for family birthdays and occasions. One day, I popped a garland on etsy and honestly its been building from there.
So from this point on Pili Pala Handmade will be focussed on Tea Party Decorations and Items. I will be doing some printed items but they will keep this general theme. I am currently going through a bit of a re-brand and am setting up a website. I do have limited time so I am hoping this wont take too long.
I appreciate all the loyalty my page followers and customers have shown so far and I hope that you stick around. Although completely understand if my old candle loyalists can't.
