The Conway Inn

The Conway Inn A traditional, old fashioned pub selling draught lagers, ciders and beer, wines and spirits. We take pride from the compliments received for our real ales.

I have to say its been an absolutely horrendous time lately. I am so genuinely touched with all the messages of sympathy for John, words fail me at this moment in time.
Thank you to each and every one of you, I’m still fighting this virus and I hope to be home very soon 💔

It is with a very, very heavy heart I have to tell you that John lost his fight with Covid earlier this afternoon.

He fought right up to the end but unfortunately it was all too much for him.

I am absolutely devastated to be writing this, please stay safe and look after each other 😥

John would like to say ‘thank you’ to everyone who has sent him messages and well wishes. He needs to save his energy to get better but wanted me to say a big thank you to everyone and he will contact you when he’s home and feeling better. Thank you from me too for all your support at this difficult time. Please stay safe, this virus is really, really bad ❤️###

We would like to let all our customers know that we will not be able to open from tomorrow until Christmas Day due to both of us being ill 🤒🤧😢

We would however like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year 🎅🎄☃️

We will post when we are able to re-open, hopefully very soon. We sincerely apologise but good health is a priority.

Stay safe all and thank you for your support, John & Gail 🥰😊🥂

Would like to thank everyone for making yesterday a success, for the patience shown whilst waiting for table service and for leaving without any issue at 6 o’clock.
I think it was a great afternoon had by all, myself included.
Hope to see you, fingers crossed, on 9th November where new normal service will hopefully resume.
Thank you all and stay safe 🍺🍷

Please remember that from 6pm this evening you will need to wear a mask when calling in for a drink with us. The mask can be removed whilst you are seated but must be put back on for you to walk through the pub to the toilets or to leave.
Also, please remember that there is no standing allowed and do not go from table to table, stay in your own group. Any persistent offenders will be asked to leave. We need to try and keep each other safe.
Thank you for your cooperation.

We are pleased to say the electrical problems we have been experiencing all over the weekend have finally been fixed and we are back up and running with lovely chilled beers, lagers and cider on the bar as well as bottles, spirits and soft drinks 😃

09/08/2020

Hi folks, sincere apologies for yesterday’s electrical issue, we are open today as normal. See you later 😉

03/08/2020

Well after over 4 months we are finally opening our doors again today. We’d like to welcome everyone back, please follow the poster instructions to keep both me and yourself safe.

I’d also like to thank Mark of MB Flooring and Phill the carpet fitter for doing a fabulous job with our new carpets and making us look complete again. Also thank you to Marie of Unique Furnishings for the upholstery updates. With the help of Jordan Ysart the ladies loo looks fab and stairs courtesy of yours truly, I hope you all like the new look. Oh and not forgetting our Beatrice for the signs.

Let’s get back to a ‘new normal’. Hope to see you soon, welcoming back old customers and some new ones too 🤞🏻.

Stay safe, wear a mask if you wish, hand sanitiser is available to use but mostly ‘welcome back’ 😊🤗😷🍻🍹🍾🥂

To the malicious rumour-mongers out there in social media land, The Conway is not or has not been open since the Friday closure a couple of weeks ago. Just because you may be disgruntled stop bringing our pubs name into disrepute. We will notify everyone once we have been given the go-ahead to reopen by the Government. Thank you.

21/03/2020

We have had no choice but to close our doors tonight due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Following Government instruction we will remain closed until such a time that it is deemed safe for us to reopen. We hope everyone remains well and stays safe. See you when times get better, John & Gail x

12/01/2020

We apologise for the inconvenience but we will be closed on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th due to having some essential works carried out. We will reopen by 4pm on Wednesday 15th January.

Thanks, John & Gail
