🗻 Abbotsbury Used to Have a Volcano… Sort Of
Wears Hill, above Abbotsbury, is an ancient hillfort — but it's also built on Jurassic rock that includes fossilised remains and weird volcanic traces. So, no full-blown volcano, but there’s proper prehistoric drama buried under the sheep.
