Sometimes, people ask me, so what are you doing when you don’t have tastings… well, I do tastings twice a day, 5, sometimes 6 days a week, especially in May which is peak season.

Yesterday winemakers from Sancerre celebrated the 90 year’s anniversary of Sancerre AOC.
30 + winemakers were gathered in Musee des Arts Forains in Paris.
Professionals of the wine world were invited to taste Sancerre wines in white, rosé and red, plot sélection, old vintages….
A very nice event🍷

I’ve been asked to organize a short version of my wine tasting class during the Airbnb Paris experience meeting.
It was fun to do, and I met again some of the host from Paris and the Airbnb staff.

This week, I’ve been invited to a great wine event:
Gala des Plumes d’Or du Vin et de la Gastronomie, is a ceremony to award the best writers and journalist in the wine and food industry. It was the 9th edition, created and organized by from the famous winemaker of Condrieu: Domaine Georges Vernay.
Before the dinner prepared by 4 different chefs of Michelin star restaurants, some of the finest winemakers from France and oustside proposed wine tastings: ,

On Friday, I was at Clos de Vougeot, in Burgundy, for the 75th anniversary of « Tastevinage »
Since 1950, the Wine Association: Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin organise a huge blind tasting session with wine experts from around the world to recognized the best Bourgogne wines among a selection of different appellations.
It’s always a great honnor and pleasure for me to be part of the Jury in the amazing historical location.

11 years ago, on September 1st 2014, I was officially opening my wine shop and tasting room on rue des boulanger in the Latin Quarter.
Hundreds of tasting sessions later, thousands of visitors and wine lovers from all around the world have passed this little black door.
Cheers to all of them and to the ones that will visit my shop soon. 🎂🍷🥂

When I was on the beautiful island of Syros, in Greece, I’ve visited a small winery hidden in the mountains of this rocky island.
was created in 2011 by Nikos Chatzakis after working in different wineries in Greece.
He grows on this very dry soils a selection of local grapes: Monemvasia, Assyrtico, Mavro Aidani….
I’ve tasted the 6 wines produced. All@the white were very good, I’ve especially enjoyed Sherrif Fatman, made with Serifiotiko, and Fabrica White, with Monemvasia and Koutoura, and I loved the Fabrica Rosé, with its dark pink color and it’s cherry’s stone flavor. It remind me some light red wines from Jura.
