Yes, it’s true. The owners of Billie’s are taking a little break, which means Alexis Riva — our favourite bartender, manager, and apparently the only person we trust with the keys — is running the asylum from Thursday through Sunday. For this week, Billie´s will be open from 7:00 PM until midnight, with Karaoke kicking off at 9:30 PM and running until 11:30 PM.😎🍸

And what better way to celebrate Alexis in charge than with a SPECIAL KARAOKE NIGHT this Thursday! 🎤

Our Karaoke Nights have become a monthly favourite, and this special Thursday edition will bring the same fun, supportive, American-style karaoke that everyone has been enjoying. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or a “sing-in-the-shower” superstar, grab the mic, pick your song, and join in.

🎤✨ Monthly Open Mic Night — Wednesday, September 16 at Billie’s Piano Bar and Speakeasy!

Our Monthly Open Mic Night is back — and it’s quickly becoming one of the most creative nights in town! Whether you’re a musician, poet, drag performer, comedian, or storyteller, this is your chance to take the stage and share your talent with our vibrant community.

Sign-ups happen at the door on a first-come, first-served basis, with each performer getting up to 15 minutes in the spotlight. The show kicks off at 8:00 PM and runs until late, hosted by Dan, who always keeps the night lively with a few surprises — think speed-quizzing breaks, spontaneous sing-alongs, and maybe even a karaoke finale to close things out! 🎶

Performers can enjoy food and drink specials, and all the essentials are ready for you: two mics, a full sound system, and our beloved piano. Just bring your instrument or your voice — no drum kits, please, and a maximum of 2–3 performers per act.

Whether you’re performing or cheering from the audience, expect a night full of creativity, laughter, and community spirit at Billie’s Piano Bar and Speakeasy.

It’s official: the owners of Billie’s Piano Bar and Speakeasy are escaping! 🏃‍♂️💨

After working tirelessly to keep Billie’s buzzing all summer, we’re taking a couple of very well-deserved weeks off. Sun, sea, sleep… and absolutely no one asking us what time the singer is on! 😂🏖️

But don’t panic — Billie’s is most definitely NOT closing!

From Thursday, September 17 through Sunday, September 20, the keys to the kingdom are being handed over to Alexis Riva — the best bartender and manager in Torremolinos and the only person we trust enough to take charge while we disappear. 🍸👑

From 7 PM to midnight those four days, Alexis will be keeping the drinks flowing, the music playing and the good times rolling.

Whether she can keep the owners from finding out what happens while we’re gone… well, that’s another matter. 😏

So come and see Alexis, buy her a soda, and tell her how wonderful she is.

When illness forced a last-minute change to our scheduled lineup, Ger Philippens graciously stepped in — and what a performance it was.

Here’s Ger with his soulful acoustic take on “Easy,” showing exactly why he is regarded as one of the finest guitarists on the Costa del Sol.

Ger is a former vocalist and guitarist with ARCÁNGEL, with a career that has included seven albums, international tours, and years of performing across a wide range of musical styles. His distinctive guitar work and expressive vocals have made him a familiar and much-loved presence on the Costa del Sol music scene.

We have a small change to tonight’s lineup. Unfortunately, one of the members of tonight’s scheduled duo is ill and unable to perform. We’re sorry to hear that and wish them a speedy recovery. ❤️

We’re very grateful that the fabulous Ger Philippens has graciously agreed to step in and take the stage tonight at Billie’s.

Ger is a familiar face to many of you and one of the Costa del Sol’s outstanding guitarists. A former vocalist and guitarist with ARCÁNGEL, Ger has toured the world and recorded seven albums, and is currently performing with Momentum. His combination of exceptional musicianship, vocals, and guitar makes him a perfect addition to tonight’s lineup.

So, despite the change of plans, Friday night at Billie’s is still very much on!
