THE STORY BEHIND LORD & THE DRINKS 👑
My name is Jay Lalwani.
And Lord & The Drinks started with a simple thought:
“Why not create something different?”
When I came to Lanzarote, I didn’t want to simply open another bar where people come, have a drink, eat something and leave.
I wanted to create a place with personality.
A place where food isn’t restricted by borders.
I wanted to take the flavours I grew up with — the spices, techniques and soul of Indian food — and bring them together with the cuisines I love from around the world.
🇮🇳 India meets 🇮🇹 Italy.
🇮🇳 India meets 🇲🇽 Mexico.
🇮🇳 India meets 🇪🇸 Spain.
🇮🇳 India meets 🇨🇳 China.
And many more… 🌎
And that’s how our fusion tapas began.
Some ideas sounded crazy.
Some combinations probably shouldn’t have worked.
But I kept experimenting.
Different flavours. Different techniques. Different cultures.
Until something happened…
People started loving it. ❤️
Our guests started telling us:
“I’ve never eaten anything like this before.”
And honestly, those words mean more to me than any advertisement ever could.
Because Lord & The Drinks was never created just to sell food and drinks.
It was created to give Lanzarote something different.
A place where you can come for a cocktail, discover a new flavour, share tapas with friends, meet someone new, celebrate a birthday, or simply have a great night.
There were a lot of challenges behind getting here. There were moments of doubt, long days, sleepless nights and plenty of things that didn’t go according to plan.
But today, when I stand behind that bar and see people enjoying something that started as an idea in my head…
I know why I did it.
This is Lord & The Drinks.
This is my passion.
This is my experiment.
And most importantly…
This is only the beginning. 👑

LA HISTORIA DETRÁS DE LORD & THE DRINKS 👑
Me llamo Jay Lalwani.
Y Lord & The Drinks comenzó con una idea muy sencilla:
«¿Por qué no crear algo diferente?»
Cuando llegué a Lanzarote, no quería simplemente abrir otro bar donde la gente viniera, tomara una copa, comiera algo y se marchara.
Quería crear un lugar con personalidad.
Un lugar donde la comida no estuviera limitada por fronteras.
Quería tomar los sabores con los que crecí — las especias, las técnicas y el alma de la cocina india — y unirlos con las cocinas que me apasionan de todo el mundo.

🇮🇳 India se encuentra con 🇲🇽 México.
🇮🇳 India se encuentra con 🇪🇸 España.
🇮🇳 India se encuentra con 🇨🇳 China.
Y muchos más… 🌎
Y así comenzó nuestra aventura con las tapas de fusión.
Algunas ideas parecían una locura.
Algunas combinaciones probablemente no deberían haber funcionado.
Pero seguí experimentando.
Diferentes sabores. Diferentes técnicas. Diferentes culturas.
Hasta que ocurrió algo…
A la gente empezó a encantarle. ❤️
Nuestros clientes empezaron a decirnos:
«Nunca había comido algo así.»
Y, sinceramente, esas palabras significan para mí mucho más que cualquier publicidad.
Porque Lord & The Drinks nunca se creó simplemente para vender comida y bebidas.
Se creó para ofrecer a Lanzarote algo diferente.
Un lugar donde puedas venir a disfrutar de un cóctel, descubrir un nuevo sabor, compartir tapas con amigos, conocer a alguien, celebrar un cumpleaños o simplemente disfrutar de una gran noche.
Ha habido muchos desafíos para llegar hasta aquí. Momentos de duda, días interminables, noches sin dormir y muchas cosas que no salieron como estaba previsto.
Pero hoy, cuando estoy detrás de esa barra y veo a la gente disfrutando de algo que comenzó siendo simplemente una idea en mi cabeza…
Sé por qué lo hice.
Esto es Lord & The Drinks.
Esta es mi pasión.
Este es mi experimento.
Y, sobre todo…
Esto es solo el principio. 👑
