In September of 1985, Padraig and Margaret Coffey opened the The Anvil Inn Bar in Portarlington, Co Laois, Ireland. Eleven years later in 1996, Pádraig and Margaret decided to open Playa Blanca’s first Irish Bar and today The Irish Anvil is Lanzarote’s Premier Irish and Sports Bar, where a warm welcome, good food and a cold drink always await you. Situated in the Punta Limones commercial centre near the Ferry Port in Playa Blanca, the bar boasts plentiful internal and external seating areas in a traditional Irish pub setting, with unparalleled sea views and unrivalled customer service. Over the years the bar has built up a loyal customer base among the Islands frequent repeat visitors and for many a greeting by name awaits at their Lanzarote local, where we’re always glad to see you.
