Fay and I are retiring as some of you may know already, after 39 years in Sloop Bar it's time to hang up the gloves, sincere apologies for not informing you all sooner but the bar has been sold and the new owners take over next week., subsequently anything booked for the month of April is cancelled, apologies again for those that have already booked.
The new owners Nicola and Edwin will be closed for a refit during April and hope to open after that, I hope you will support them as you have us.
Fay and I would like to express our thanks and sincere gratitude to all of our customers and friends over the years it's been an absolute pleasure and we will miss you all x
To thank everyone would be impossible however I would like to start with my friend and our compere Mr Gary Barnes who has without question provided us with some incredible entertainment over the last 5years (the best of the best)
Also thanks to Mr Kevin Lyons for his absolute fantastic quizzes and support, also to all the incredible acts.. to many to mention but thank you all for your support it will always be appreciated xx
Fay and I will continue to support Nicola and Edwin when they reopen hopefully we will see you then.
On a personal note Sloop Bar was established 1986 and Fay has the oldest British bar on the south coast
her strength and determination has in my opinion exceeded anybody on the island and I personally find that absolutely amazing and with that in mind I think a holiday is in order, it's going to be extremely sad but all good things come to an end.
