🍷 BREAKING NEWS 🍷

This Saturday we had a wine tasting scheduled at Kataví.

But the square renovations decided they wanted to be part of the event too.

🚧 Excavators: 1
🍷 Kataví: 0

Or so they thought.

Since getting to Kataví felt more like an expert-level survival challenge, we moved the tasting to La Esquina.

And here's the best part...

All 13 guests who had booked showed up anyway.

Not the barriers.
Not the dust.
Not the urban maze.
Not even the feeling of taking part in an archaeological expedition.

Nothing could stop an afternoon of wine, laughter, and great company.

The conclusion?

You can close a street.
You can move a wine tasting.
You can even park an excavator right in front of the door.

But you can't stop a group of people when they know there's a good glass of wine waiting for them. 🍷

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us.

Next time, we'll try to schedule the tasting before the construction project of the century begins. 😅

Mientras algunos ven una plaza en obras, nosotros vemos algo más.
Vemos las futuras terrazas llenas.
Vemos a los niños jugando.
Vemos vecinos paseando.
Vemos conciertos, mercados y encuentros.
Las obras pasarán.
La plaza se quedará.

Y nosotros seguiremos aquí, copa en mano, esperando el primer brindis en la nueva plaza de Alfàs.
¿Quién se apunta a inaugurarla con nosotros? 🍷

Almost there! Another day where we need to stay closed 😭 but one day closed to the great come back!

It has been some tough months with all the construction going on on the square, and we are very sorry for not being able to offer the terrace service as you deserve. Fortunately it looks like we are starting to see the light in the end of the tunnel, hopefully we will have our renewed terrace back during next week… hooray! Today we will be closed in order for the workers to do their job as fast as possible. Thank you all for your support and your understanding. Looking forward to welcome you in our renewed terrace very soon!!

Inspirados en el Alfas lúdico fest, nos hemos hecho con el Quarto, juego de mesa intuitivo, rápido y adictivo... tenemos un ejemplar en Kataví para que nuestros clientes puedan jugar acompañando una copa de vino o un café... !habla con nuestro personal si quieres probarlo!

Last night was one of those evenings that reminds us why we do what we do:
Kataví was filled with wonderful people, great energy, inspiring conversations and a truly special atmosphere.
Graham G. Maiden took us through his artistic journey, shared how he found his identity as an independent artist here in Spain, and moved everyone with his warmth, humility and genuine spirit.

And yes… several artworks already found a new home ❤️
The exhibition will remain at Kataví until next Thursday, when the lucky new owners will finally take their pieces home.
Until then, you can continue visiting the exhibition during the restaurant’s regular opening hours — and if a piece steals your heart, it can also be purchased directly at Kataví.
Over the next few days we’ll be sharing more stories and details about the artworks on display 👀

🇪🇸Ayer vivimos una de esas noches que nos recuerdan por qué hacemos lo que hacemos ✨
Kataví se llenó de gente bonita, buena energía, conversaciones interesantes y un ambiente realmente especial.
Graham G. Maiden nos llevó por su recorrido artístico, compartió cómo encontró su identidad como artista independiente aquí en España y emocionó a todos con su cercanía, humildad y enorme sensibilidad.
Y sí… varias obras encontraron ya nuevo hogar ❤️
La exposición seguirá en Kataví hasta el próximo jueves, momento en el que sus afortunados nuevos dueños podrán llevárselas a casa.
Mientras tanto, podéis seguir visitándola durante el horario habitual del restaurante —y si alguna pieza os roba el corazón, también podéis adquirirla directamente en Kataví.

There are a few spots left for thursdays wine tasting.
Join us for a fun night, perfect both for the ones who "just drink wine, but never really think about it" and for those who "have been to A LOT of winetasting and on tour in NAPA and BOURDEAUX". It does not really matter, Kataví`s tasting is ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE, and learning how to set the words for how it feels for YOU when you drink a glass of wine. We learn you to put our experience in words - with the help of some tools - and we make our own tasting sheet for each wine.... at the end you get to know the wines you have tasted, and we discuss how we have described it vs how the producer described it. A fun and educational experience... and you get to drink wine!! :-)
