Joe Spoons Ibiza, también conocido como Music Bar para muchos, comunica que cierra sus puertas para siempre tras casi 50 años de trabajo (1970-2019). Decisión que no deriva del Covid-19 ni de sus nefastas consecuencias, ya que había sido tomada con anterioridad. La situación que estamos viviendo a día de hoy, lo único que ha hecho ha sido ralentizar el proceso de cierre por motivos burocráticos. Las razones de esta decisión son de distinta índole y vienen forzadas por las dificultades con las que nos encontramos para poder llevar a cabo nuestro estilo de trabajo en el West End actual.
Pero esta nota, no es para quejas y reproches, es una nota de agradecimiento, porque queremos dar las GRACIAS a todos los que han formado y forman parte de esta gran familia que se ha ido forjando a lo largo de estos casi 50 años. Nos gustaría poder poner los nombres de tod@s, pero es una tarea que nos resulta imposible, ya que la lista es interminable.
Queremos empezar dando las GRACIAS a todos los ENCARGAD@S, porque han dedicado muchas horas y esfuerzo, tanto en los buenos como en los malos momentos. GRACIAS a todos y cada uno de los CAMARER@S y EMPLEAD@S DE LA LIMPIEZA por su gran trabajo, y a todos los DJ´S y MÚSICOS por dejarse la piel en cada sesión o actuación. También queremos dar las GRACIAS a los REPARTIDORES, PREVENTISTAS Y SUS JEFES, que nos han ayudado a que el trabajo fuera más fácil. Y GRACIAS al famoso JOE DUFFY por ser cofundador de este Pub y un gran músico.
Por último, queremos dar las GRACIAS al pilar más fundamental de esta gran familia, nuestros fieles CLIENTES, que año tras año no nos han fallado y han compartido con nosotros grandes momentos en este pequeño gran Irish Pub, haciendo que el famoso ambiente irlandés fuera una realidad cada día y cada verano desde 1970.

Joe Spoons Ibiza, also known as Music Bar by many, hereby announces that it is closing its doors forever, after almost 50 years of work (1970-2019). This decision had already been taken prior to the Covid-19 outbreak and is not derived from the pandemic nor from its dire consequences. The only thing the present situation has done is to slow down the closing process due to bureaucratic motives. The reasons for this decision are of a different nature and are down to the difficulties we encounter in carrying out our style of work in the current West End.
But this note is not for complaints and reproaches, it is a thank you note, because we want to say THANK YOU to all those who have formed and are part of this great family that has gradually forged itself over the last nearly 50 years. We would like to be able to name everyone, but that is a task that is impossible for us, since the list is endless.
We want to start by giving THANKS to all the MANAGERS, who have dedicated many hours and much effort, both in good times and bad. THANKS to each and every one of the WAITERS and CLEANING STAFF for their great work, and to the DJ's and MUSICIANS for giving their all in every session or performance. We also want to give THANKS to suppliers, reps and deliverymen, who have helped to make our job easier. AND THANKS to the famous JOE DUFFY for being co-founder of this Pub and a great musician.
Finally, we want to say THANK YOU to the most fundamental pillar of this great family, our loyal CUSTOMERS, who year after year have never failed us and have shared great moments with us in this great little Irish Pub, making the famous Irish CRAIC a reality every day and every summer since 1970. THANKS A MILLION!!
