In searching for the perfect location, the winery chose Anguix, Burgos, where they planted 80 hectares of Tempranillo – known locally as Tinta del País – and created an elegant, state-of-the-art winery to capture the essence of this remarkable region and its wines. Located in a striking landscape along the Atlantic coast, Lagar de Cervera maintains a dynamic and ongoing conversation between land, sea and sky. In their passion for producing the highest quality wines, Lagar de Cervera established the largest Albariño vineyard just above the Miño River estuary in the O Rosal subzone of Rías Baixas, where the confluence of coastal conditions create an ideal environment for Spain’s most prized white variety. Under their Lagar de Cervera and Viña Armenteira labels, the winery produces fresh and fruit-forward single-varietal Albariño.
