No todos los vodkas empiezan en el mismo sitio. Este empieza en el arroz.

Haku se elabora en Japón y se filtra con carbón de bambú. Su nombre significa «blanco», aunque también puede interpretarse como «brillante». Viendo la botella, le van bien las dos.

Hay muchas historias en el botellero. Esta es una de ellas.

🇬🇧 Not all vodkas start in the same place. This one starts with rice.

Haku is made in Japan and filtered through bamboo charcoal. Its name means “white”, but it can also be interpreted as “brilliant”. Looking at the bottle, both seem fitting.

There are plenty of stories on our shelves. This is one of them.

Etiquetas que ya no existen, fórmulas que cambiaron y destilados de otra época. Nuestro archivo guarda algo más que botellas: guarda una parte de cómo se bebía antes.

Y algunas no van a quedarse cerradas para siempre. 🥃

Nos hemos equivocado.

Y lo peor es que esto nos lo sabemos. 😂

En el reel sobre Johnnie Walker se nos cruzaron los cables y dijimos que Green Label llevaba wh**ky de grano. No lleva. Green Label es un blended malt, elaborado exclusivamente con whiskies de malta.

Gracias a por estar atento y señalárnoslo. Cuando uno mete la pata, se dice, se corrige y seguimos. 🥃

Prometemos tener los cables mejor conectados para el próximo.

We got it wrong.

And the worst part is, we actually know this one. 😂

In our Johnnie Walker reel, we got our wires crossed and said Green Label contained grain wh**ky. It doesn't. Green Label is a blended malt, made exclusively from malt whiskies.

Thanks to for spotting it and letting us know. When you get something wrong, you say it, correct it and move on. 🥃

We'll try to keep the wires properly connected next time.

Una cocina como la de Casa Gerardo no se visita todos los días. Y menos en una jornada compartida con Pedro Morán, Marcos Morán y José Andrés.

Esta vez cambiamos nuestra barra por sus fogones para recibir a un grupo de viajeros estadounidenses que estaba descubriendo Asturias de la mano de .

Borja puso los cócteles; Pedro y Marcos, la casa y la cocina; y entre medias hubo tiempo para aprender, servir, brindar y echarse unas cuantas risas.

Gracias por dejarnos formar parte de una jornada así. 🍸

You don't get to step inside the kitchen at Casa Gerardo every day. Especially for a day shared with Pedro Morán, Marcos Morán and José Andrés.

This time, we swapped our bar for their kitchen to welcome a group of American travellers discovering Asturias with .

Borja took care of the cocktails; Pedro and Marcos, the house and the kitchen; and somewhere in between there was plenty of time to learn, serve, toast and share a few laughs.
