End of an Era at Johnnie’s Bar - and the start of an exciting new one!
As most of our customers know, Johnnie Amanda and James (and Molly) have been planning to move on from Spain and the bar and follow Jenifer and Jonathan back to the UK.
This week everything’s gone through for our move, and the Langtons are going home.
The bar will be continuing under the same name and managed by Amy and Alejandro who are buying into the business. I know they will be a huge success and I hope that all the lovely people we have met over the past 31 years will continue to support them. Behind the scenes Paul O’Shaugnessey, and Johnnie and Amanda (from afar) will continue to support them.
As a family we would like to say a massive thank you to all the customers who have helped us make the bar a success. Many have become good friends and seeing the same faces every year has been a privilege. Some people have been supporting us since the beginning, some we have gotten to know in later years, but all the same the biggest thank you to you all.
We also wanted to say a thank you to all the staff who have supported us over the years, especially Kath - 19 years on the terrace is no mean feat - and Sandra. Alongside Sandra, Anna and Ana Belen will be continuing to help Ale and Amy into 2026 and the future.
In a final note, we would like to say another thank you for all the stories and memories we will be telling for the rest of our lives - all the characters, all the people we’ve gotten to know who are no longer with us, all the crazy nights and everything else in between.
It’s been an honour.
