Open today at 4pm 🙏

❤️ Firstly, thank you so much for all the lovely messages, well wishes and check-ins over the last week or so. I haven’t had the energy to reply to everyone personally, but please know I’ve appreciated every single one.

I’m still not 100% — energy levels are low and the cough is hanging on — but I’m feeling well enough to try and get things back to normal, so I’ll be opening today from 4pm. 😊

I’ll be taking it easy though… definitely no singing, although I think we can all agree that was never a pleasant experience for anyone anyway. 😅🎤

Thank you again for your patience while I’ve been feeling rough. It’ll be lovely to see some familiar faces, even if I’m operating at slightly less than full power. ❤️

😔 I’m so sorry, but I’ve made the difficult decision to close the bar again today.

I opened yesterday thanks to some much-needed help behind the bar, but I’ve woken up feeling even worse than before. The headache won’t shift, I can’t stop coughing, and truthfully I don’t even have the energy to make it up the hill today.

I hate letting people down, especially those of you who were planning to call in, but I need to admit defeat and give my body a chance to recover properly. I’d also hate to pass this awful bug on to anyone else.

Thank you for your patience, kindness and understanding over the last few days — it really does mean a lot. ❤️

I’m extremely sorry and hoping this extra rest, and a couse of antibiotics, will finally get me back to normal soon. 🙏

❤️ Thank you so much for all the kind messages while I’ve been feeling rough. I’m still not 100% (far from it if I’m honest 😅), but with a little help behind the bar, I’m opening today from 4pm.

So if you fancy sitting in the sun on the terrace, or escaping the heat inside to watch the FA Cup Final, the doors will be open for you to have a drink and listen to some great background music 🎶⚽🍻

I’m taking it steady, but it’ll be lovely to see some familiar faces. 😊🫶

😔 Another apology from me… but I’m still struggling with a horrible chest cold and I need to keep the bar closed a little longer.

I’ve barely been sleeping, I’ve lost my appetite completely, and I’ve got a constant cough (the glamorous mucus-filled kind 🤦‍♀️), along with breatlessness, headaches and chest pain. Safe to say I’m not exactly in “pouring drinks and chatting” condition.

More importantly, I’d hate to pass this on to anyone else. The last thing I’d want is for customers to leave with more than good music and a smile. ❤️

I’m really sorry if you’d planned to pop in — especially those of you who’ve become regular faces and friends. Thank you for your understanding, patience and kind messages. They genuinely mean a lot.

I’m hoping some rest, sleep and a bit more recovery time will have me back behind the bar very soon. 🙏

🙏 Very sorry, but the bar will be closed this evening.

I’ve come back from my holiday with a really bad cough and I’m still not feeling great, so I’ve decided to take another evening to rest and recover properly.
I’m really sorry for any inconvenience, especially if you were planning to call in tonight. Thank you for your understanding and patience. ❤️

Hopefully I’ll be feeling much better and back open again tomorrow. 🙏
