Well… what a week! 😅🔨

After all the tiling drama, we’re back up and running again with a BANG! 💥🍻 The new flooring is almost complete — just a few little snagging areas to finish off — and there’s still a bit of work to do behind the bar on Monday, which is normally our closing day.

𝗔 𝗛𝗨𝗚𝗘 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀 and to everyone who mucked in and helped throughout the week. 👏👏👏 And an equally massive THANK YOU to everyone who came along and supported us on our first day back open yesterday. ❤️🐕

🎉🐕 STOP THE PRESS! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!

THE TILES ARE FINALLY FINISHED! 🙌😂

Yes, after days of work and several generations of tilers, El Perro Loco is FINALLY reopening! 🍻

The floor has been tiled, the grout has been admired, the tiles have been walked on, and we can confirm that they are definitely not going anywhere! We even roped in Jo for some silicone sealing 😂

At one point we genuinely thought we might have to start charging admission just to come and watch the tiling. We considered putting up a gift shop and selling “I Survived the El Perro Loco Floor” T-shirts! 👕🤣

But the saga is over!

🍻 WE’RE BACK OPEN THIS SATURDAY FROM 12 NOON! 🍻

Come up the hill, have a look at the magnificent new floor, see all the hard work that’s gone into it and, most importantly, buy us a drink because we’ve been looking at tiles for far too long! 😂

🚨 UNFORTUNATELY… IT’S HAPPENED AGAIN!

Well folks, despite our best efforts, the tiling has NOT quite finished! 😩😂

And before anyone starts pointing fingers… NO BLAME! Spanish, British, Martian or otherwise! 🇪🇸🇬🇧👽 It’s simply taken a little longer than planned. Apparently, tiles don’t lay themselves… who knew?! 🤣

So, unfortunately, El Perro Loco will be CLOSED THIS FRIDAY, which means there will be NO Karl’s Friday Quiz. 😢

We’re now pulling out ALL THE STOPS to get everything finished and get the doors back open for you on SATURDAY. 🤞🍻

We’re really sorry for any inconvenience and, as always, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND SUPPORT. ❤️

We promise the finished floor will be worth the wait… although we may have to charge extra for admiring it! 😂

🚨 OPENING IS DELAYED - SORRY 🚨

We’ve had to delay reopening until Thursday after finding customers buried under the old floor tiles — apparently they’ve been hiding under there for the last six years! 😂🍻

The floor tiling is going well… although we’re not quite sure what colour is supposed to go where! 😂🧱
