So ladies and gents, friends & family its probably about time that I re-emerged from my sojourn in ‘Framingland’ and its with great pleasure that I introduce you to ‘The Framework Studio’.
After more than half a lifetime in the pub business it was time to call last orders on that chapter in my life and pursue a completely new profession that would allow me to spend more time with family & friends while continuing to do something that I truly enjoy.
I was inspired by the craftsmanship, creativity and discipline of photo/picture framing in all of it’s diversity and here are the fruits of my endeavours.
I am pursuing framing on a conservation/museum standard and will continue to broaden my knowledge, including gaining accredited qualifications, whilst carrying out framing commissions to earn a crust.
With that in mind if any of you have something that you would like to have framed please reach out by telephone or DM me at https://www.facebook.com/theframeworkstudio/ alternatively send an email to [email protected] for a free estimate of your framing needs.
The website, www.theframeworkstudio.org will take a little longer to complete but the maintenance page has links to the Facebook & Instagram pages.
Hope you enjoy looking at my work if & when you have the time for it and perhaps I can frame something for you in the foreseeable future. - M.

To all my customers, esteemed guests, musicians and friends, It’s with a heavy heart that I inform you of the decision to close ‘The Irish Pub, Marstal’ with immediate effect.

It has been a pleasure, a privilege and an honour to present you with my interpretation of an ‘Irish Pub’, meeting place & live music venue since 2007, but now alas it’s past time to call last orders.

After reaching a consensus that another season would not have been possible, I have made a decision to pursue a completely different career in the realisation that if I wait any longer it might be too late for me.

I will initially spend more time with family, friends & loved ones while delving deep into picture/photo and 3D framing on a conservation/museum level, taking courses and a hopefully gaining a few qualifications along the way with internationally accredited art and framing associations.

So it’s with gratitude and humility that I say ‘𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮’ to all of you who have made my presence in Marstal a very memorable chapter in my life, and on a personal level a deeply rewarding experience, they were indeed ‘happy times’!
