We work alongside fifty-five renowned organic or biodynamic certified producers from France, Italy, Spain and Japan. We are constantly in search for products that expresses these qualities throughout the best and most unique regions we can find, fortunately

producers are as proud of their product as we are of them, so we honor them by sharing their proudest work with mind-linked partners and friends; Relæ, Manfreds and Bæst and outstanding friends such as Noma, Geranium, Amass, among many others top establishments.

The past years in Jura have been hard for its winemakers due to horrible and very unlucky weather.
Rain and lack of sun made for a slow maturation and in fear of loosing grapes to autumn frost, many were forced to harvest unripe grapes. Some were even so unlucky to lose a bite of their harvest to hail.
Even though it is said that any winemaker should be able to survive a bad year, to have several bad years in a row is very tough circumstances when your livelihood is based upon it.

However this year's weather conditions have been none short of exemplary: only less than half way in to this year's harvest, we've picked more grapes than all of last year. All winemakers of Jura are over the moon with joy and relief.

This is what happens after the harvested grapes are brought back to Domaine Ratapoil. The grapes are loaded onto a frame with holes in it, underneath it being a big container to catch them. The technique is called "éraflage" or "destemming", meaning to separate the grapes from the stems and making them ready for the press. In fact, quite a fun job!
