Today we welcomed Anders Kronborg (MP Danish Parliament) for at site visit at DK Maritime in Esbjerg 👍
We showed him some of our capabilities at the facility and gave him a tour of our trencher system for nearshore scopes. It was a pleasure discussing views on resilience of subsea cable infrastructure and how DK Maritime is positioned as a key contributor.

Thomas Saugstrup Appointed New CEO of DK Maritime
As a natural next step in DK Maritime’s development, we are pleased to announce that Thomas Saugstrup will assume the role of CEO of DK Maritime as of 1 February.

Thomas Saugstrup brings a strong background in commercial leadership, strategy, and business development. Most recently, he has held senior leadership roles at DFDS, where he managed one of the company’s largest sales organizations across multiple European markets. Prior to this, Thomas worked as a management consultant at QVARTZ (now Bain & Company), advising companies within sectors such as energy, offshore, industry, and transportation.
In his role as CEO, Thomas will have overall responsibility for leading and further developing DK Maritime, with a focus on strengthening the commercial platform, developing partnerships and key accounts, and ensuring a scalable organization with continued high delivery quality in close collaboration with the technical organization.

🔷 Leadership Transition at DK Maritime 🔷
After more than seven years as CEO of DK Maritime, Daniel has decided to step down from his role. This transition is part of our planned development and comes at Daniel’s own request.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Daniel for his dedication and leadership over the years. Under his guidance, DK Maritime has grown into a strong and well-run company with a solid foundation – both professionally and culturally. We are proud to carry this legacy forward.

In the meantime, Jeppe Lyst will step in as interim CEO, ensuring stable operations and continued momentum.

Exciting times at DKM!

At DKM, we are currently carrying out a comprehensive upgrade of our vessel DKM Worker. The vessel is being upgraded with a Kongsberg DP1 system, enhancing its precision and operational capabilities for future offshore assignments.

In parallel with the DP1 installation, the vessel is undergoing a full refit, including a new crane, updated deck layout, and complete mobilized of subsea equipment — ensuring readiness for a wide range of subsea operations in Q1 2026.

✅ Tensioner: 10 / 15 t
✅ Cable deck spread: Chutes, cable roller-way, cable quadrant
✅ Trencher T124: In-house trencher incl. 22t LARS system
✅ ROV: Inspection / work class
✅ MBES: R2Sonic 2024 (Hull mounted)

Miscellaneous:
✅ 2 × spud legs
✅ Anchor wind fore 5–7 t

DKM is expanding into new facilities🤩
After more than seven years at Tværkaj 2, we’re taking the next big step in our journey.
We’ve invested in a new property at D Lauritzens Vej 10, Esbjerg Harbour, which is currently undergoing a full renovation.

With modern workshop, warehouse, and office facilities on the way, we’re preparing DKM for the future.
We look forward to welcoming our customers and partners to the new site – where we’ll continue to deliver the same quality, flexibility, and reliability that DKM is known for.
