August is over. The music has stopped and the door has closed…

Together — over 31 days — we raised 75,000 kr for children affected by war in Gaza and Ukraine. Every krone is being donated to The Danish House in Palestine and Mission East (Ukraine programme), as promised.

We said from the beginning that this month wasn’t really about us. It was about the people who make Søhesten what it is. Ten years in, that feels more true than ever.

Thank you to every guest who came through the door and paid entry knowing where the money was going.

Thank you to the jazz musicians who gave us two concerts every Wednesday and Thursday, and to Musik Syndikatet for building the programme with us.

Thank you to the DJs and record collectors who carried disco, funk, soul and Italo through our speakers, weekend after weekend.

Thank you to the Tuesday quiz regulars, to the dancers who stayed until close, and to everyone who filled the bar night after night.

Thank you to Luca and Viktor, who carried the month on the floor, night after night. None of it would have worked without you.

Live Jazz nights in collab with Musik Syndikatet only costs a cheap 65,- for the best talent in town and foreign musicians on tour.

Tuesday night is the mighty Quiz Night, free entrance and full of people.

So you for one, two or three of a different kind ❤️
