On March 21st, Saline and Yana take over the DJ booth at Escobar for Midnight Cowboy ft BabyYaga. Expect a heavy night with everything from goth and industrial to nu metal and prog.

We asked them to answer three questions:
- Which artists shaped their love for music

3 artists that shaped my love for music:
The dark side of music, film, and art has always attracted me. Black Sabbath was my gateway to heavier music, and later I fell in love with all shades of goth with bands like Siouxsie & The Banshees, Bauhaus, The Cramps, Alien S*x Fiend, Christian Death, and Jack Off Jill. Later I dived into metal in many different directions, and today my taste ranges from industrial and old school metal to goth rock and hardcore.

3 artists I will definitely play:
- System of a Down
- Kittie
- Nine Inch Nails

3 live experiences I will never forget:
Twisted Sister at Copenhell in 2014 was absolutely insane. I’m also really glad I got to see both Ozzy and Black Sabbath several times. And Mew’s farewell show last year is a concert I will never forget.

Gutted for all the people who've been travelling to see the shows, but we'll keep spirits up by playing lot's of Radiohead every day this week from 14.00 to 19.00!

Come drown your sorrows at Radiohead Pre-party.

Radiohead are gutted to have to announce the postponement of the first two Copenhagen dates this week - tonight, Dec 1st and tomorrow, Dec 2nd. The shows have been rescheduled for Dec 15th and 16th respectively.

Tickets for the shows will be automatically transferred to the new corresponding date. If you require a refund, please contact your point of purchase.

"We are devastated to have to postpone these two shows at such short notice but Thom has been diagnosed with an extreme throat infection which has made it impossible for him to sing.

Treatment is underway and we're hopeful Thom will recover in time to play the final two Copenhagen shows on Dec 4th and 5th, and all four Berlin shows, starting on Dec 8th.

We have been so blown away by the audience reactions on these dates and are loving being back on stage again; needless to say, we feel terrible that we have been forced to postpone these shows."

While we normally cater to the harder end of the rock/metal scene, next week we'll celebrate the completely sold out Radiohead concerts every day (Monday through Friday!) when we open at 14.00. We'll be playing a solid mix of Radiohead and other alternative rock bands all afternoon. Next Saturday Midnight Cowboy is back at Escobar - this time with Steffen Gronemann by his side. The cowboy asked him a simple question: Can you name 3 artists who have defined your love and passion for music throughout your life?

1: Iron Maiden
When the metal legends - and they were already legends back in 1988 - found their way into my childhood bedroom, it was over for Michael Jackson, Madonna, and “Re-Sepp-ten.” The Live After Death VHS was worn out before I even turned 10, and Eddie was my god.

2: Psyched Up Janis (The Raveonettes)
Psyched Up Janis showed me a way out of the heavy-metal world that had filled everything in my early teenage years. With Swell, those brilliant boys from Sønderborg hit a noise-rock nerve in my soul, and I haven’t looked back since. Sune Rose Wagner—Denmark’s best guitarist and greatest rock star of all time (don’t challenge me on this!)—has been my guiding star ever since. I blindly follow everything the genius touches, whether in Psyched Up Janis or The Raveonettes. I’ll probably hit around 100 live concerts with that man before I turn 50 (I’m 45).

3: Echo and the Bunnymen
Ian McCulloch and his Liverpool crew were huge in the ’80s. But I didn’t discover this legendary post-punk band until after the turn of the millennium. Not that it matters, because they’ve created some of the most epic and timeless rock music ever etched into vinyl. I haven’t looked back since, and if you can show me a wilder run of first five albums than from Crocodiles in 1981 to their self-titled fifth album in 1987 — I’ll buy the next round! And yes, frontman Ian McCulloch is right when he proudly proclaims that “The Killing Moon” is “the greatest song ever.”

What a day! Yesterday at our Metal for Peace - Fundraiser we raised 36593 kr for the Red Cross, plus another 1560 kr donated directly on https://minindsamling.rodekors.dk/fundraisers/metal-for-peace-escobar-stotter-gaza!

Thanks to everyone who came by and spent money in the bar, as well as those who couldn't be here, but donated for the cause.
