Musikalsk set kredser eventen om hardcore og punk i alle de forskellige afskygninger der findes. Fællesnævneren er engagement, intelligens, stillingtagen, respekt og et løfte om ikke at vende den anden kind til eller forblive stille.
1-DAY HARDCORE SHOWDOWN er med til at vise et alternativ til dansk musik-industri og samtidig informere om at der er gode grunde til at tænke over miljøet, begrebet
alkohol-”kultur”, fødevareindustrien, dyrerettigheder og menneskerettigheder for forhåbentlig at agere derefter og gøre en forskel. EVENT HISTORIE:

In 2011 we held the first edition of 1-DAY HARDCORE SHOWDOWN, which actually happened over 2 days, presenting the following bands: Agnostic Front, Earth Crisis, Shatterproof, As We Fight, Sista Sekunden and Earn your Scars. The show took place at the defunct The Rock in central Copenhagen and had just over 400 paying guests.
2012 not only marked the 2nd year of the event but it will also happened in the newly resurrected PUMPEHUSET in Copenhagen that now holds 2 stages of 600 and 400 capacity respectively. The venue was very much on the landmark in the early days of the late 80’s and early 90’s where Ramones, Entombed, Napalm Death and alot of other genre defining bands included this venue in Denmark as a stop on their European tours. With Iginite, Poison Idea, Municipal Waste, Trapped Under Ice, Rise And Fall and many more we have just over 500 people in and an all-vegetarian food option for the entire day. Anima and Sea Shepherd were partners and will be included in 2013 as well.
1-DAY HARDCORE SHOWDOWN is not only a non-commercial cultural event, it’s also a socio-political initiative that will serve the purpose of spitting in the other direction of the established. We’re including the relevant N.G.O.s that can help make a clearer point that we need to take much better care of our environment and treat not only ourselves but also animals with respect and care.
