If it works the way people are describing, it could be a game changer. Imagine taking a song you love and transforming it into a completely different style while keeping the essence of the original.

At Curfew, we’d love to hear modern songs reimagined as if they were recorded in a hidden speakeasy during the 1920s. Think Charleston rhythms, swing bands, brushed drums, upright bass, piano, trumpet, and all the atmosphere of the Prohibition era.

Imagine hearing your favorite song and suddenly it sounds like it belongs in a smoky underground jazz club from a hundred years ago.

꧁☬𝓙𝓸𝓼𝓮𝓹𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓮 𝓑𝓪𝓴𝓮𝓻☬꧂ The cocktail named Josephine Baker is a tribute to the legendary performer herself. Drawing inspiration from her iconic costume of a short skirt made of artificial bananas and a beaded necklace, this cocktail captures the spirit of the jazz age and the Roaring twenties.

The choice of Havana Rum as the main spirit in the Josephine Baker cocktail is significant. In January 1966, Fidel Castro invited Baker to perform at the Teatro Musical de La Habana in Havana, Cuba, during the seventh-anniversary celebrations of his revolution. Her spectacular show in April of that year broke attendance records, making Havana Rum a fitting choice to honor her connection to Cuba.

The cocktail combines Havana Club Selección de Maestros Rum fat-washed with Ghee butter, banana, parsnip, PX Sherry, anise, 🍊 cocoa bitters. These ingredients are clarified through our Lab centrifuge, resulting in a spirit-forward and strong libation with a delightful sweetness from the banana. The parsnip adds a nuttiness to the flavor profile, while the anise seeds contribute hints of licorice. The combination of banana, parsnip, and anise creates a unique and harmonious pairing that complements the notes of Havana Rum and the nuttiness of PX Sherry.

The Josephine Baker cocktail pays homage to the extraordinary artist and her iconic image, offering a taste experience that reflects her spirit and the era she helped define.

Introducing the Curfew Team | Artemis

Originally from Greece, Artemis moved to Copenhagen in 2026 to explore new directions and continue her personal and professional development.

With a background in chemistry, she previously worked at Line Athens—ranked among the World’s 50 Best Bars in 2024 and 2025—where she was involved both in service as a waitress and in the development of in-house fermented beverages as part of the research team.

She joined Curfew in 2026 as a waitress and has since begun training behind the bar, with a growing interest in connecting her background in chemistry with the craft of bartending.

Artemis brings a calm presence, strong attention to detail, and a natural sense of hospitality, while exploring the intersection between science and the sensory world behind the bar.

Originally from Greece, Eleni moved to Copenhagen in 2024 to pursue her Master’s degree in African Studies at the University of Copenhagen.

She joined Curfew in September 2024 as a waitress, bringing with her previous experience in hospitality from bars and restaurants in Greece, where she worked between the ages of 18 and 22.

Eleni brings a warm and attentive approach to service, with a strong sense of hospitality and a natural connection to guests, while working closely with the team to maintain the atmosphere and standards of Curfew.

Originally from Italy, Rico has been working behind the bar for the past seven years. He began his career in Soho, London, where he spent five years developing his craft, before spending a short period in Dublin, continuing his work in bars.

In 2025, he moved to Copenhagen and joined Curfew as a bartender, bringing with him both experience and a genuine passion for the craft. For Rico, bartending goes beyond a profession—it’s something he truly enjoys and lives through every shift.

Rico brings a positive energy behind the bar, with a strong team spirit and a natural connection to guests, quickly finding his place within the Curfew team.
